Nice honest opinion. In fairness to the jacks I can't believe monk played 7 or 8 of team that played v Napoli ( think that's correct?). Really naive management if true given the performance on Thursday.

Got to laugh at roathie on here. Came on at half time trying to give it big one assuming that the 3 points were in the bag yet he has spent 3 hours on here trying to justify that he was talking about the first half. Games are won or lost at 90 minutes. Half time means nothing.

Really? Point out one sentence where I claimed anything of the sort.

I dont have to justify anything, my responses are incredulous retorts at the reactions. My first post says i was talking about the half quite clearly, ill put it in bold.... The OP

The sensational football under Monk continues, dont think ive seen a more dominant half anywhere. Count us out of the relegation scrap if anybody still thought we were in it.

Palace on the other hand....

Dear oh dear. Any normal person would keep quiet. I can't imagine too many Sunderland fans at ht today thinking cap 1 cup was one. You clearly assumed you had game won at half time. Why post otherwise? I've seen ccfc 3 up and 1-4 down at half time yet the outcome wasn't what I would have predicted! Your arrogance knows no bounds. The rest of the jacks on here are embarrassed by you. I suggest you take along walk out in the outback, eat some humble pie and stay off here for a while- 99% on here think you are a knob.

Fixture list can help at times. Reckon if spurs had been away last week we may have had a chance of a point. Had you played one of big 4 or 5 you may have had a hammering. One of those stats we will never know. Can't believe Leroy lita is getting a game- is he one of monks mates?

sensational is the word being used for the first half can we have a honest summary from someone who was actually there please?

1 shot every 9 minutes and 1 goal doesnt sound very sensational.

yeah because they tampered with the camera to trick the viewers :laughing6:

Sensational football doesnt mean "shooting". Greece in the world cup shot a lot, they were far from sensational, they just lumped it.

It means moving the ball with accuracy, at pace, creating space. Palace had 10 men behind the ball and tried to hit us on the break. Our play didnt allow them to, only venturing past our 25 yard line once. We also went into half time leading with 83% of the posession.

Absolutely sensational

No, not quite.

however it was so sensational it saw us have 83% of the ball and the lions share of the chances (in fact we only gave up one) and deservedly took the lead into the changing rooms.

Nobody has mentioned anything being sensational from there on in, which seems to be confusing people.

Sensational passing in front of Palace but not getting many shots on goal.

Wow. Sensational. I bet the Brazil 1970 world cup winners are so jealous Swansea just played the most sensational half of football thats been seen anywhere.

Whenever people think about sensational football they wont think the Brazil 70 team, or Barcelona under Pep they will remember that sensational half of football where Swansea passed it in front if Crystal Palace but still failed to win the game.

I did answer the question. The sensational football didnt have a chance to win us the game as it only lasted for 45 mins. During that 45 mins we were winning and enjoying 83% of the play.

Barring an awful ref decision the 45mins would have been good enough to win us the game despite the major dip in play as a result of key injuries in the second half.

Thats football. Lets hope for sensational football again for 90 mins next time

enough to be winning

Wow. Sensational. I bet the Brazil 1970 world cup winners are so jealous Swansea just played the most sensational half of football thats been seen anywhere.

one of the most dominant in terms of game play ive seen thats for sure. And if the brazil team of 1970 watched it too then im sure they hold that opinion too... In fact who on earth doesnt think that first half was completely dominant?

Whenever people think about sensational football they wont think the Brazil 70 team, or Barcelona under Pep they will remember that sensational half of football where Swansea passed it in front if Crystal Palace but still failed to win the game.

what has the game got to do with it? We are referring to the first half, not the second. At the time of writing the second half hadnt even kicked off yet - a key factor people seem to not be able to grasp :laughing6:

Did the sensational football get you all 3 points ?

The sensational football didn't last for 90 minutes so didnt have the chance to win us the game. It won is the half though

Not sure whats so confusing about this. :laughing6:

Please answer the question? Did being sensational for 45 minutes win scfc 3 points?

I did answer the question. The sensational football didnt have a chance to win us the game as it only lasted for 45 mins. During that 45 mins we were winning and enjoying 83% of the play.

Barring an awful ref decision the 45mins would have been good enough to win us the game despite the major dip in play as a result of key injuries in the second half.

Thats football. Lets hope for sensational football again for 90 mins next time

I take that as a no then. Strange how you harp on about awful refs

You didn't think our passing and movement was phenomenal? Many sides have come and been negative, Cardiff for one. Yet we havent dominated anyone like that for as long as I have been supporting Swansea.

Have you ever seen 83% possession from Swansea at half time while only allowing the opposition into the final 3rd once?

It was sensational. If people cant see that then I fear for them if we ever dip down the leagues and start losing 4-0 to the likes of kiddie again :D

You can take it as you wish. We were sensational in the first half and it rightfully allowed us to be winning at half time.

I didnt say he was a bad ref, i said it was a bad refereeing decision. Although Mike Dean does have a history of this kind of thing now you mention it.
