Said if Hull fans want him out he will go within 24 hours.
Seeing as they ar 10th, just in the process of signing Jelavic and Long, its a masterstroke by him to issue the threat now.
He also said if the FA wont let him change the name he will walk so not only threatening the fans but threatening the FA

By that logic you could watch any team in the Cardiff area and it would be fine by you. I'd argue that if the name Cardiff isn't in the club title it wouldn't represent the city of Cardiff in the slightest.

Polo, the FA are as bad as these owners mate. They've stood by and tried to milk it for all its worth since the inception of the Premier League. They're a registered company like any other and they want to make profit. Its a disgrace and I don't agree with it, football should be a community sport uniting those in the local area - you could even say it would be better served to become part of the public sector with fixed rate salaries as teachers do on a scale etc. - but thats the way football is - supply and demand and money orientated.
I don't need to tell you anyway or go into the ins and outs of it as you're a smart bloke.

I would like to thank JB39 for his insight into the rebrand....I had heard in reports that Tan's ambition was to float the company onto the Singapore Stock Exchange. He needs the club in the EPL and branded the club to reach maximum potential (value) when the company is indeed floated.
I don't understand the abuse at all. It is horrendous that this is more likely to be our Owner's intention but some fans prefer to bury their head in the sand!
soulofthesea also made a great comment that Tan should of considered the marketability of the BLUEBIRDS as a brand in its own rightbut I doubt this was even explored as an option*. Tan is a despot leader, doesn't give a fig about the fans or the club.

The monster has been created now Barney its too big to ever go back to what it was. That Richard Scudamore at the PL makes my skin crawl.
As you say its big business. Some players are paid more in a month than most people will earn in an entire lifetime.
Crazy

No worries pal. I just try and see things from different angles to gain a wider perspective on the given subject. Its easy to go all siege mentality on something but that doesn't help anybody really.I don't understand the abuse at all. It is horrendous that this is more likely to be our Owner's intention but some fans prefer to bury their head in the sand!
Thats our fan base and has been for years. By the time they wake up, its too late. Its always been that way with our fans.soulofthesea also made a great comment that Tan should of considered the marketability of the BLUEBIRDS as a brand in its own rightbut I doubt this was even explored as an opinion. The reason I believe the bluebird wasn't used as a brand is below.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandarin_C ... anity#Bird
'The Chinese word for bird "niǎo"(鸟) was pronounced as "diǎo" in ancient times, which rhymes with (屌) meaning penis or sexual organ.[8] It also sounds the same as "penis" in several Chinese dialects. Thus, bird is often associated with 'f**k', 'penis' or 'nonsense'
You cant really market something so offensive as a brand. Its not appealing to true business professionals and as Tan is Chinese in culture then it makes sense. China is one of the biggest markets in Asia due to its population. Its also an area Tan has expertise in having business interests there.
Bluebirds in Chinese is Lán zhī gēng niǎo.
As you can, niao, can be pronounced offensively depending on the dialect. Its a marketing own goal.
It could be read as bluefuck or bluepenis or bluenonsense, none of which are any good for us in terms of marketing and branding. They're disasters even.
No serious investor is going to come on board if our name comes across in that manner. The dragon is different. Its powerful, it has great symbolism in Asia and is not a marketing own goal.
It portrays a better image and has no risks attached to it. Yes it alienates us but Tan is not floating the club in the UK or Europe, hes floating it in Asia, he needs to be aware the club is suited and professionally branded to appeal to an Asian market.
For all we know, the investor may get on board with us with a dragon in red, see the traditional fans in blue and tell Tan, if you want me to continue to invest then you need to improve customer relations here first otherwise im pulling out. I think then Tan would listen because he'd be getting told from someone with a bargaining chip and more money on the table and not a bunch of tribal fans getting all emotional.
Fans just need to be patient to see how it all unfolds. It's all we can do now. Tan's gone far enough now and he will go ahead with floating the club.
