I didn't say hes a modern great did I? I said hes a great Swansea player.

He is probably the best winger we have had since Curtis. that's a great in my eyes. and hes still better than Kuyt.

No you didnt say he was a great SWANSEA player at all. You said he was a "great player".

Stop trying to wriggle out of it, its painful to watch.

Jason Bowen was better than Nathan Dyer.

Its all relative polo, I assumed you had the intelligence to realise we weren't comparing these players to the whole of world football. As the people above, im sure they aren't all suggesting he will be better than Van Basten etc

you are clutching at straws now. But hes still better than Kuyt and a great player for us.

Nathan Dyer, Swansea Great, so great he was used as a substitute for 34% of his Premier League appearances last season

Not comparable. Kimbo was adapting to a new country, new culture and purposely introduced slowly.

Kuyt - 95 caps. More of a great than Dyer will ever be.

Dyer was adapting to a new system with wingers playing inside. but don't let that get in the way of your nonsense.

Giggs has 50 caps, Kuyt has twice that amount for a better team... Giggs is still more of a great than Kuyt (who isn't vice captain by the way).

And again back to the thread, Dyer is better than both.

But Dyer is a great, he shouldnt have to spend 34% of his time adapting to a little jink in the system surely?

Giggs gave up international football but at least had the opportunity to play it, as all greats.

Dyer, for sucha great player, its one of lifes mysterys hes never had a cap. The ninth wonder of the world.

The same as Kimbo adapting to another style of football. Dyer is an out an out winger and a great one for us, our best since Curtis (who is another Swansea great), when asked to play a differing position its not always easy.

and Dyer is only 25. Alan Smith has 19 caps for England and is pony. Bothroyd has an England cap. Neither can get into a Premier League side. Dyer is better than both of them too and he isnt even a striker.

Re: kuyt not signing

Yeah cos learning a slightly different position is as difficult as learning a new language, culture and way of life

You make it sound like hes been asked to play in goals

Kuyt can play wide, upfront on his own and off the striker.

Giggs can play a number of midfield and forward positions.

Dyer struggles to adapt to being asked to come 5 yards inside his usual position

No I don't, I make it sound like a winger whos been asked to play inside instead of beating his man on the outside.

I know he can, not very good though is he?

I know he can, but he doesn't play as hes like 40 years old.

Nope didn't struggle, just Hernandez and Routledge are used to it.

Giggs, the 40 year old who apparently doesnt play much anymore, played in over 30 games last season and won a league title.

Apparently not as good as the great Nathan Dyer though who struggles to adapt to taking his man on the inside rather than the outside
