To embrace means taking it to heart, to cwtsh and to love ..none of which describes how I feel about the rebrand...but all of which describes how I feel about the club

So what are you going to do about it then? because you or nukes are no diffrent from many others who will wear blue chant blue songs or buy anything from the club full stop, the same stance as ive always stated, but we all feel the same its landed on us and what now because we seem to have fans still telling others there embracing something which there also embracing for having the same views its madness. :ayatollah:

Mate, I have to say you've absolutely lost me there :)

I won't be 'embracing it' as you said. What I'll be doing is giving it a go this year despite not actually really looking forward to it anywhere near as much as usual...see how it goes, as some seem to be doing. Others have accepted it, perhaps begrudgingly but have managed to somehow pidgeon- hole it and are somehow looking forward to the new season, whilst others have actually embraced it..the whole thing..the new colour, badge everything..

So the ones who have embaraced it are in red shirts i get that but i doubt they will be chanting red army from the stands :ayatollah:

That'd too much to take :ayatollah:

Depending if this is anyone part of the KCB or not there is a fake account on facebook targeting people who have expressed openly they have bought the red shirt.. because it appears thats why I was targeted. I recieved a facebook mail off someone saying 'If they see me wearing the shirt at any game they will spit on me' the account has blocked me before I replied.

Planned Cardiff City red shirt protest cancelled before season opener!

A planned protest by Cardiff City fans against the club’s controversial switch to a red home strip has been cancelled.

The Keep Cardiff Blue (KCB) campaign – set up after the Bluebirds announced a re-brand in June – claimed the club had “banned” demonstrations at the stadium ahead of tonight’s Championship curtain-raiser against Huddersfield Town.

Members of the group had planned to protest against owner Vincent Tan’s changes, which include a red home shirt and a new crest, outside the main entrance of the Cardiff City Stadium at 6.45pm.

But the demo was ditched last night when KCB issued a statement saying they had cancelled their plans based on police advice.

The club said their focus ahead of tonight’s match was “directed towards matters on the pitch”, while South Wales Police said officers would be on hand to “facilitate any lawful protest”.

The club first revealed plans for an ambitious overhaul of the side’s kit and badge in May before abandoning the proposals after a passionate backlash from fans.

The redesign was then resurrected in June as part of a £100m investment package from Malaysian billionaire Mr Tan.

An ugly split between rival sets of fans emerged at a meeting in Cardiff last month, when a group of fans in favour of the changes warned KCB members they risked being treated as “the enemy” and would be “buried” if they protested against the new look.

A statement issued on KCB’s website said: “We received advice from the local police [on Wednesday night] that the club has banned any protest at all from their land and anybody doing so will be moved on. In the light of this and the previous threats of violence against protesters from prominent supporters of the club’s re-brand we feel duty bound to cancel the planned protest scheduled for 6.45pm outside the main entrance to the stadium.”

Despite aborting the protest, the KCB statement added: “We urge all those who care about the club’s identity and believe it is more important than the whims of one man to make their views known [on Friday night].”

In an earlier statement announcing plans for a protest at tonight’s game, KCB urged members to “conduct yourself with dignity and respect fellow fans”.

It added: “The KCB campaign has always maintained that we will protest in peaceful, non-violent and lawful ways.”

A Cardiff City FC spokesman last night said: “For the opening game of the season our focus is directed towards matters on the pitch and in welcoming supporters who simply want to enjoy and share in the experience of an exciting and competitive game of football at Cardiff City Stadium.

“Our priority remains in trying to bring footballing success to Cardiff City supporters, doing so in a vibrant and safe environment that all can enjoy.”

A South Wales Police spokeswoman said: “We are aware of discussions on internet forums about plans for a proposed protest at [Friday’s] game and officers will be present to facilitate any lawful protest while minimising disruption to the community and ensuring public safety.”

Ah but Dando, remember now all we've been told by the leaders of us fans and on this forum. It is only the KCB lot who have been threatened and intimidated and treated like crap! :o

I found it simply immature not blaming anyone but only the youngsters who started that facebook event to start it would do something like that.. so KCB.
