Sam has not gone back on a deal.

10 million cash and hes gone carl ?

No Wez.

£10million and £5million promotion bonus, life presidency and the deal to be completed by end of the month and the club can move forward big time with Sam still the 'father of the baby' :ayatollah:

This has only been mentioned last few days before that the 5m was left out of messages on here??
Maybe it was in the last few deals but from what it looks like is in the recent talks the 5m bonus was dropped but now brought back into the deal?

But the following quotes are from Sam via Annis and they were in the press only 10 days ago. Not a single mention of 10+5..

Hammam says none of those offers on the table are acceptable. He has turned down £8m payable within 30 days; £10m with £3m payable straight away and the rest at the end of the 2012-13 season; or £13m, with £8m payable this year plus an extra £5m if Cardiff City are promoted.

"None of the three are acceptable, but Langston will take £10m and wants a deal done by the end of this month"

Originally, Vincent Tan offered £10m up front. That is the one Langston will accept. Cardiff City and Tan have until the end of July to give Langston their original offer – otherwise he will leave negotiations until 2016 when the money has to be paid.

Absolutely right :ayatollah:

There is a lot of backtracking going on by some people on this board. I would wager that what they relayed initially was what they were being told by Sam. Has Sam, again, got greedy and left his friends to try and explain his change of tact

I got to ask this Carl...

How long have you known Sam?

Were talking about multi-million pound deals here.
You are showing a hell of a lot of faith in a bloke
you surely cannot know that well?

It must be nagging away at the back of your mind
that you might (just might) be being used here?

Re: ' So were getting nearer '

I can see many on here are saying that myself and Carlos are back tracking, Yes I said Sam would take £10 mill and I also told Media Wales that and of course if we got promotion the promotion bonus was still there, that has never changed . Sam has never ever said to me or Carlos or Gwyn that he scrapped the promotion Bonus, but he had accepted to lose the naming rights of the stadium. Remember Tan has now made 6 different offers, if somebody did that to me, I would certainly not know which way to go, but Sam has stuck by the £10mill, plus promotion bonus since all these new negoations started up again, when Tan started the new offers 2 months ago. all facts and Whitley knows this our chief executive.

Why did you not mention that when you were slagging the malaysians off for not paying the 10 mil and saying thats that, its too fucked now to follow

Yes we are talking about multi million pound deals Dave and I have put a lot of faith in Sam as I believe him, I certainly don't think I am being used, I am being honest to myself and doing what I feel morally is right and what is the best for the club.

The clock is ticking for VT to honour his offer that was made 8 weeks ago and accepted by Sam.

In the best interest of our club I hope that VT does not renege on his offer as Sam is making a massive personal sacrifice to allow the club to reduce the debt and settle for far less than the club admit would be payable if (as they believe) when it is due in 2016.

Out of interest, how is it a personal sacrifice if he isn't Langston?

yeah and a number of other posters have, i agree its fishy but i dont see why he has to be so arrogant and think its his buisness when in fact its not even any of ours, i dont get why he feels he needs a reply when many other posters havnt either, its just another way to get one up on annis you only have to look at his motto to see that

My post was not meant as a pisstake. it was a genuine question. Not meant as a dig at all.
But if we're talking about 'morals' and 'honour'.... Then we cannot put Sam on a pedestal.
That last gasp "give me £500k more or i wont go" was evidence enough that Sam is not
afraid to move the goalposts at the last minute if he thinks he can squeeze a bit more out
of a deal.

Dont trust Sam one little bit. Having had the pleasure of working for him, he can make you feel like the greatest thing in the world if he wants, but hes not stupid, hes a business man and will do whatever it takes to get what he wants. Our current owners arent exactly true fans who are here just for the club they love. They are obviously here to make money too. But i do believe they are better for us than Sam

I dont like Sam getting an honorary life presidency place as we can never seem to shake him off and get rid of him! Before you know it Risdale will be an honorary accountant for life aswell!

Lets just pay sam whatever it is we owe him to get rid once and for all. Lets have our club back and know our owners for once!

How do we get our club back ?

Do we still have our identity under the new owners ?

Yes I agree let's move on from Langston and pay them, but what do u mean know our owners for once ?

Know our owners as in not have loan notes left right and centre, that in such a climate can be called in at any moment. If VT is going to buy out sam, let's get rid of him, give him the cash of whatevers agreed to get him gone without the added position of president. If sams around, the club will never fully move on. VT hopefully won't be around for long. If we get to the prem I see him selling up after about 5 yrs (if we stay up). Hopefully we can find a rich true fan, go back to blue, bluebirds and become a stoke or alike, where we aren't super rich, have a localish owner, no threat towards relegation and can consolodate and then build again, all whilst watching the jacks drown after laudrups c#ck up as manager

I haven't read all 4 pages, but the problem with all this is that Sam will do his talking through Annis and Carl, thus can change his mind all he wants.

What I have seen is an offer was made to him in writing and we were then told he'd take £10m as long as he had it by July. NO MENTION WHATSOEVER OF ANY BONUS.

In fact the wording was along the lines that Sam wanted to get away from it all, and didn't want to be waiting for his money any more.

Sorry lads, we've all seen Sam manipulate people before and I reckon he's doing the same now.

Remember when he left, he asked for extra money at the last minute for his brother then. He'll be doing the same thing now. Its not an uncommon tactic amongst Middle eastern businessmen and he'll think nothing of it.

His position I belive has been helped by the blue to red furore as the club know that to sort this debt will help placate people and also that man are waiting to see the debt to equity deal done before their trust is restored (although maybe not faith), that plus the fact that VT has raised his current offer to £9m and appears to be willing to go to £10m will have likely meant that he feels the tide is turning his way in negotiations.

None of us are really in a position to say who shuld accept what -its a business deal between VT and Sam, but it looks to me like Sam is the one messing around now.

He might gain some credibility if he actually came out himself and put in writing in the public domain what he wants, -just like the club have. B hiding behind Carl and Annis he can change tack so easily like making out the £5m bonus has always been part of his demands.

Trust him to do what ?

I trust him to keep our club affloat, because thats what he's doing.

Thats the main thing for me.

Overall though I think he's going to try to make money out of the club, by getting us up and then marketing us/selling the club in the Far East.

Do I trust him with our identity, well its not gone too well so far on that score

Do you trust Sam to do the best thing for our club. Or do you think he'll be looking out for the best for himself.

I know which I think - and to be honest I can't blame him, as I'd do the same if it was say Beiruit Fc we were talking about.

Given what has happened over the past 12 years, I don't think its such a bad thing not to place too much trust in our owners anyway.

The problem we have here Tim, everyone now believes every word Tan says and should open their eyes. I am not stupid for one minute, without a doubt Sam was no Saint and I will say it again it's like two men playing poker for very very high stakes and we are caught in the middle of it. Tan is use to getting his own way and likes to manipulate and grind people down, but our club needs this sorting now.
