As for this welsh not British thing, how many of you can actually speak welsh? Know the anthem in welsh? Know what it means? So many passionate welsh out that can't be arsed to learn the language, a countries strongest identity
I know every word of the anthem and can speak welsh. Happy?
Never said I wasn't happy. Pleased you can but I would put my mortgage on you being in the minority. Nothing worse than the tv cameras focussing on people in the stadium miming to the welsh anthem clearly not having a clue what they are supposed to be singing. For all they know the words could be "I love England and welsh are their slaves". Yet they will swear what passionate welsh they are
In my opinion if you are welsh and you don't know your own anthem then you aren't a proper Welshman/woman

After a full career in the army sometimes fighting for and indeed at one stage under the union flag I am proud to be welsh and proud to be British . I am not thick and I fully understand how the flag was formed and it represents an ideal of justice and freedom that is worth every Welshman fighting for.
In closing I remind you that fighting for that flag throughout the ages enables you to express the views that I disagree with!

People in Wales are flying a flag which does not represent them in any shape of form and the sad thing is they don't realise it. It's time for change and it needs to be debated as soon as possible in the Welsh Government and the English Government. Petitions with a certain amount of signatures (1,000 I think?) and there has to be a debate……..I think I may start one after all this 'English-German-Greek' nonsense over the next few days and I look forward to getting as many signatures as possible from the true Welshman on here who would love to see our country represented on the Union flag.

I DESPISE the Union flag, we are overlooked and ignored, Saints Patrick, George and Andrew all represented. I cannot believe Welsh people who wear daffodils on their heads for the egg, then fly a Union Jack to celebrate The Queen of another country with German heritage. I was hoping the recent and very excellent Story of Wales by the BBC would have educated some of them, but honestly I feel like ripping them all down, its cringeworthy.
