Fecking give up. In the youtube clip that was on here and the atmo shown there was no political views to that song involved. Dont give a flying shit about either club or there political shit. Just that clip of how an atmosphere could be like if we wanted it like that

Have to agree why oh why are we talking about all of this when, the point is about atmosphere at the city. We have a crucial run in and we need an atmosphere to get everyone going.

Thank you Chief i have an Alli. Not one person has said it would be great to create an atmosphere that would inspire our team and by god they need inspiring. More interested in supporting Rangers and what there politics are than helping our own team. All you Rangers fans if Cardiff played Rangers who would you want to win ?

You're right billy but they do sing songs about the famine and being 'up to our knees in fenian blood.'

Have you ever considered that many Celtic fans viewed the British military as a force of occupation in the north of Ireland?

And as such British soldiers were viewed as a legitimate military target ?

You may not share that view but it may help you understand the complex politics involved.

Re: CELTIC FANS

Celtic fans may think that, but its still only decent to respect the dead and injured of war. Irish people have fought wars for Britain, how must their families feel hearing supporters jeer during silences etc. Those with such a strong hatred of the British Army could always jusyt remain dignified and silent.

Some Celtic fans may think that.

I do agree though that it's not hard to keep quiet for a minute whether you wish to pay respect or not. After all we are talking about paying respect to fallen conscripted soldiers and young lads who joined the military to escape difficult domestic circumstances in many cases.

I attended a catholic primary school which will remain nameless and the priest at the local church was a huge Celtic fan. Unfortunately however the priest used the time to try and brain wash us all about the Catholic reglion and the hatered against the Church of England. He was succesful with some of us and if Im honest including myself but as I grew up and understood life more it really turned me against Celtic, the Catholic faith and if Im honest Irish people as a whole.

Cracking first post.

Can you tell me why all of England uses the British national anthem?

I mean, you're so clearly a fountain of knowledge on this subject.

How is it possible to exist with so much hatred coursing through your veins? Doesn't it get tiring after a while?

Also, for a passionate Englishman, it's great to see you have a faultless mastery of your mother tongue... oh, wait, you don't.

Last but not least, I live in England. Problem?

Re: CELTIC FANS

I can't believe I read all this through, what an hilarious thread to find on a Cardiff City forum. I don't mind Rangers from a purely football perspective, also that they wear blue and their fans are quite loud and enjoyable. This whole Old Firm nonsense on the other hand is laughable and makes me wonder why Welshmen seem to care so much, unless they have some hidden agenda, because it can't be about the quality of football can it? Seeing as it's about League One standard.

A bunch of Scotsmen, who don't really care about Scotland. Half of which think they are Irish, and the other half think they are English. Even though, they were probably mostly born and bred in Glasgow. Half of which have a retarded IRA/terrorist/anti-British way of thinking (despite the fact they live in Britain), whilst the other half have a retarded pro-British imperialist/pro-monarchical (agree with letting some posh cunts live on our tax paying pounds and own OUR land despite it not benefitting Wales or Scotland in the slightest), not to mention that anti-Catholic/EDL racist fashion trend in football nowadays that the Jacks love - known as Loyalism. Yes, these two sets of Glasweigians who hate each other more than any other set of football fans purely because of race and religion - sectarian hatred like its still the f*cking 1700s. How utterly pathetic the way this lot think really is, you'd think that way of thinking would've died in 1945 with Nazi Germany, sadly, the lesson is never learnt.

Funnily, they are still a minority, even in Scotland. A country which is proud, where the SNP is quite strong, has strong ideas for it's nation and it's independence. Perhaps if the Welsh took less passionate interest in matters such as the aforementioned retardedness behind the Old Firm, then we as a nation wouldn't be the historical whipping boys for the English Crown that we are. Too set in our ways, too scared to stand up for ourselves, with an equivilent political party to the SNP which is absolutely useless and has no idea.

My thoughts of course, I'm sure no-one will agree. Even though, I enjoy watching Rangers from time to time, it's all irrelevant in the grander scheme of my football interest. England? Scotland? Ireland? Celtic? Rangers? The Old Firm? Fook off will ya, I'm proud to support Cardiff City FC & Wales!
