If this was our main team playing in a league game we would need to be booing the shite out of them but it was a mickey cup, but the losses are mounting on murphy.

Dreadful performance against a struggling opposition. To think if J Colwill was injured, that would be our starting central midfield of Wintle and Turnbull. Bloody dreadful. Well done to the Newport CBs, their attacking players played well too.

We still start far earlier in the FA cup so there is another 2 games.

Salech wasn’t good enough, but he didn’t get any real service in the first half. I couldn’t believe the standard from Turnbull (TurnBack) tonight, it was honestly up there with some of the worst performances I’ve seen in a City shirt. He’s supposedly one of the highest-paid players in the squad, yet Newport players were strolling past him with ease. The idea that our younger players are meant to look up to that is shocking. Forget training, Robertson must be performing at a higher level than that showing.

Think a few on here need to be a bit more practical

Do any of us want to win this cup? Nope... Promotion is all that counts.

However, these games allow us to play youngsters to gain experience which is vital to their development and our future.

Sure, Turnbull proved he shouldn't be anywhere near starting 11 yet again.
Salech wasn't great, but this style of football doesnt really suit his game if we are being completely honest.

It was Countys cup final and they won it despite not doing much in a 2nd half where we were considerably better than we were in 1st.

We've been shit if we are all being honest since last international break, fingers crossed we are not as shit after this one.Who knows it may even benefit us.

Do wonder if there is a plan b? Because tonight's alternative system was to play narrow with no wingers .... result no crosses until late in game but that is what happens if play wingers at start game!.... its no wonder Salech struggles to get into games if he receives the ball every 10mins or so? Not worth getting worked up about looking at other results seems other div 1 teams had similar problems with div 2 opposition .

This match showed to me (if proof were needed) that if we are in with a shout of the league come January we need upgrades in centre midfield. Also can we please bring Robertson in from the cold, he cannot be worse than Turnbull. His stomach to win tackles and at least track a player who’s gone past him was shameful tonight, he looked like he was running in quicksand.
