Could the complications be we've taken so long that Plymouth have come in and he's now thinking over his options

Amazing our useless board have taken so long whilst Plymouth have acted within a couple of days

Surely cannot be one of those we tried for Joe bloggs but!! And end up with purse? Thinks fans will have to show bit more patience and hope club get their no1 target..
Suspect it comes down to money and backroom staff with player budget

If that’s the case then fuxx him off and move on.

Why? Would you take 1st offer if had choice? You no very well that sighning players /managers is a case of negotiating whether it's wages (players) or staff and what can they spend? (Managers) so yes fck him get purse instead as he's ready and available with no negotiating needed :banghead:

Just seen what he said, but what is he actually saying?

Looks to me like he's hedging his bets by saying "this might happen, but then again it might not."

I stick by my original post.

Nobody knows, mate. The person you have spoken to may well believe that Buckingham is 99% there, the club may be sending out false information to distract from the real target, or Buckingham may be stalling over the contract, and he is bound to be on several clubs' radar and speaking to each of them simultaneously

Nathan Jones would demand a higher financial package, higher assurances, and compensation to Charlton, I just can't see it.
This latest leak/guess may be to give Buckingham the hurry up

Whoever the new manager is going to be, if he's got anything about him he'll want guarantees with backroom staff, contract and player budget, which if he gets could also benefit us fans.

Isn’t that what you saying?
As I mentioned there no problem I see when people post in good face what they have heard. No one are in so called “ITK” I bet there’s less people who actually know than fingers on my right hand. We can all speculate and it’s part of the fun of the forum and we’ll get it wrong sometimes and correct others just simple playing the odds. I personally think Ramsey will be our next manager not because I have any inside knowledge just a gut feeling. If I’m right doesn’t mean I will be next time, there’s actually not that many realistic options by using basic common sense.

The strangest part I find is when people jump to others defensive when they got something wrong, so what they wrong it’s not the end of the world no one really believes anyone is actually “ITK”

Just need to relax and enjoy the forum with its various opinions and personalities. It’s a bit of fun, we not playing god with our posts.

Not going to bother replying to most people on this thread now.

I was told what I was in good faith and I posted it on here.

I stand by that it's true. Sounds like there's a delay because of the Jones possibility.

But I see no point in replying to people who are just giving me stick for posting something in good faith.

I've seen the way some people on here treat Roger and I don't need that hassle.

The majority of people on this forum are good, well-meaning posters but not going to waste time responding to those who either give abuse or have a go at me for a well-meaning post.

Mate I really haven’t seen any of that on here about you. Minimum so very very lighthearted banter. I would suggest if you effected that much by people’s opinions just block them or don’t post threads that may put you in the position you think your in.

I hope you don’t as I’ve said a couple of times there is clearly no malicious desire by you, you just sharing what you know on the forum which is fine.

PS who is Roger?

If you're getting arsey to a poster of a rumour, then give your head a wobble!! Its part and parcel of the game. Always has, always will be.

I love these rumour threads. Keep them coming. Ignore the muppets.

That Des Buckingham was the Board’s choice (subject to contractual agreement) and I will back Ned 100%, as I was told similar by a usually impeccable source with a vested interest in the outcome

It seems late on that Nathan Jones has either made contact or been contacted (informally or otherwise) but as it stands, there is nothing to say he’s on his way, so perhaps that has muddied the waters a little

We’ll know soon enough :ayatollah:

I would agree also Chris.

I feel like the football Des plays would get the best out of our more creative players, Colwill, Ashford etc.

Jones is more defensive and I feel his style of football won’t be taken well by fans.

I still recall the comments from some stating ‘rather go down playing nice football’

I also agree.

Jones has had success of course, but I actually find him cringeworthy. It always has to be about him, as we saw in this year's play-off semi final.

It's not passion when he looks over to see if the Sky cameras are on him.

And if people found Bulut's style tough to watch, they shouldn't really want Jones - would be far far worse.

Media wise he’s very bad.

Yeah he’s Mourinho without the results.

A Cardiff fan he might be. A good manager I don’t think he is.

This maybe would swing me:
Wins 189 Draws 120 loses 121 win rate 43.95%, mainly in the championship/L1

the odds on favourite, if he If he was English and say, a Derby fan but played for the club 43 times
wins 0 draws 2 loses 1 win rate 0%

Or an Englishman who supports Oxford and has no association to the club
wins 85 draws 38 loses 53 win rate 48.3%, mainly in India

I don't think he is coming but Des is still potentail whilst Jones is a step up with proven form

Yeah it would be nice for him to finally do that.

Imagine a fit Ramsey (tough to do sadly) but he would rip league one apart.
