Tablet donations help patients speak to families
Kind-hearted people are donating tablets and mobile phones so hospital patients and care home residents can speak to family they may not see again.
Some care home residents are unable to see relatives as health boards and homes bid to limit the spread of the virus.
Sara Platt started a Facebook group which facilitates the donation of items to NHS staff, wards and patients and has gained 16,000 members on Facebook in less than two weeks.
The effort has helped to raise almost £30,000 worth of items for more than 70 wards and health facilities across Wales, including dozens of tablets and mobile phones.

Love at first sight during lockdown
It's a modern-day Romeo and Juliet story.
An Italian couple have fallen for one another during lockdown in the city of Verona.
It was love at first sight from the balconies of their neighbouring blocks of flats for Michele D’Alpaos, 38, and Paola Agnelli, 39 as they emerged to listen to music at 18:00 - a daily occurrence in Italy.
The live music was provided by Ms Agnelli’s sister, a professional violinist who lives with her and chose that day to play Queen’s We Are the Champions as neighbours applauded.
Paola told BBC Radio 4's Today programme: "I went out on to the balcony to watch my sister play her violin and I saw Michele standing on the opposite balcony. I realised he was my friend's brother and I said 'What a handsome man'.
"When the music was over I got a message on Instagram. It was from Michele and he said 'I could write a book called Love In The Time Of Coronavirus'.
"That night we wrote to one another until the early hours. We realised we shared the same values and that those would be a solid base for a relationship."

Boris Johnson now tests negative for virus
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson tested negative for coronavirus before being discharged from hospital yesterday, a government spokesman has said.
He said Johnson was continuing his recovery at Chequers, his official country residence. Asked why he was there rather than his primary residence of No 10, the spokesman said it was “considered to be a suitable place”.
The prime minister had spoken to Dominic Raab, who is deputising for him, over the weekend. “The PM is focusing on his recovery and not currently carrying out government work,” the spokesman added.
Separately, the government has denied that Cabinet minister Michael Gove’s daughter being tested for coronavirus was an example of “double standards,” after controversy about a lack of testing for frontline staff.
The spokesman said the test was carried out “on the advice of the chief medical officer and in line with medical guidance”.
“The test ensured Michael Gove could get back to work to help drive the government’s response at a critical time,” the spokesman said.

A 106-year-old woman has become Britain’s oldest survivor of coronavirus after being released from hospital.
Great grandmother Connie Titchen battled the virus for just under three weeks and was given a clean bill of health by doctors at Birmingham City Hospital this week.
Ms Titchen, who was born in September 1913 and has lived through two World Wars, was diagnosed with coronavirus shortly after she was admitted to hospital in mid-March with suspected pneumonia.
The 106-year-old said she felt “very lucky” to have survived the virus and that she could not wait to see her family after being released from hospital.

Birthday card campaign for 99-year-old fundraiser
A schoolgirl has started a campaign to make cards for the 100th birthday of an Army veteran who raised more than £8m for the NHS.
Tom Moore, 99, aimed to raise £1,000 by completing 100 laps of his Bedfordshire garden by Thursday.
He dubbed the fundraising "completely out of this world".
In response Reegan Davies, eight, from Port Talbot, started a campaign to make cards for his 30 April birthday.
The target is make 1,500 virtual cards.
"You can post them on any social media with the hashtag #makeacardfortom," she said.
- For me this guy should be honoured by the Queen / Country for what he has done and money raised for the NHS .

A 99-year-old war veteran has walked 100 laps of his garden to raise £17m and counting for the NHS.
Captain Tom Moore originally aimed to raise just £1,000 for NHS Charities Together by completing laps of his garden before his 100th birthday.
But he has smashed his target after nearly 800,000 people made donations to his fundraising page.

Captain Moore is the only thing cheering me up these days. Over £18 million to date. Let's hope the money keeps rolling in.
Amazing how the efforts of an old soldier like this has caught the publics imagination.
