Great post.
I read Labours Alan Johnson’s autobiography , he had a really tough upbringing, worked hard, joined a union and rose through the ranks eventually becoming a politician. I often disagree with his politics but have loads of respect for the man. Hard pressed to think of another in Westminster.
The closer we get to a new PM and Oct 31st the rats are getting desperate to stop us leaving ? They've condemned boris for possibly suspending parliament before Oct 31st so we leave, but the rats are trying every underhand trick to stop Brexit by using parliamentary Bill's for other reasons by adding on parts that could stop leave being implemented? And of course theres the impartial king rat bercaw who says he will try to find a way for parliament to stop leave another 400yr old law in the magna carta that no one's heared of maybe?
A nest of vipers.
They've used an amendment to the northern Ireland bill which had fck all to do with Brexit to make suspending Brexit slightly harder to do as MPs now have to report weekly ! It won by 1 vote ...... A total abuse of procedure and they got more underhand moves to do same nest of low life rather than vipers ..

Funding us with our money and telling us where we can spend it. Started out as a Common Market which seemed like a good idea, and was still a good idea when I voted to remain in the EEC. That has all changed over the years, and gradually more and more controls have been handed over to the EU. Once the EU becomes a USE, there will never be a chance of leaving in the future, with a European Army responsible for defence. Your post is interesting as it is amusing! We live in Wales, we are living in one of the 'poorer economies!' We have been receiving Objective 1 for years because parts of Wales are recognised as the poorest regions in Europe. So to take your post in that context, remaining in the EU will make us as rich as England which I'm sure you will agree wouldn't be a bad thing?

5 / 6 countries with very low GDP due to join in the next couple of years. Just when the money supply around the EU is getting tighter.

Of the Eurozone countries only Germany and the Netherlands have benefited from membership. The EU are now pushing for a centralised tax policy, which will again benefit the Krauts at the expense of smaller countries. They want an EU Army, who’s going to pay for that? Because none of them, apart from ourselves, are currently meeting the 2% of GDP spend for NATO. Amusing that Welsh Natz are driven by nothing more than a hatred of England but can’t wait to hand over sovereignty to Junkers and Barnier.

That's been the problem all along with the Brexit argument. The south of England and other areas are doing very nicely and Brexit won't effect them, but as this graphic shows, Wales remains one of the poorest regions in Europe. Well the truth is, Wales have received Objective 1 as one of the poorest regions of the EU for over 20 years. This money was supposed to be match funded by Westminster but the Government at the time (Blair Labour) refused to do this. As a result we have only received half of the money that the other regions have had because their governments match funded their money. Had we had received the correct money we might not be in the 'deep red' as on the map. So it's not all Europe's fault but the Daily Mail etc will tell you differently. As I sais perviously turkeys...Christmas

Remain
And the best option is remainand
IMHO Some utter garbage on here about the benefits of no dealthe. Probably written by the older retired community who have less to lose than the younger generation.
How on earth did we end up with the incompetent windbag Boris Johnson as likely prime ministerthe boasting that he will take Britain out come what may.
the. Possibly leading to the break up of the UK due to outdated little England colonial mentality.
If that happens then maybe it's time to all get behind.....who?![]()
Perhaps Bluegog is correct.... after all his posts make more sense than most of the others in here.![]()

So what's the remain deal should we stay in ?
Monetary union 2 years, 5 years. No longer than that surely
Further expansion. 6 in the latter stages of negotiating. Turkey still have their application pending. What about the caucuses ? Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus. Norway and Switzerland finally realising they cant possibly survive outside the EU.
Which countries will go from being beneficiaries to contributors ? Luxembourg, Belgium, Poland Anyone
Who'll be the first to default on payment ? Greece, Italy
How far will political union go ? The change in the European union between voting to remain in the common market in 75 and voting out in 2016 was massive. So what does the next 10 - 20 years have in store as there's no status quo in the European Union. If its almost impossible to leave the union now what chance in the future ? Does this institution that promotes itself as one of liberty want us handcuffed by the goolies ?
Which country will be first to crash out of Europe due to civil unrest ? Hungary, Poland, any of the Balkans, Us ? Within 10 years I'd say.

Funding us with our money and telling us where we can spend it. Started out as a Common Market which seemed like a good idea, and was still a good idea when I voted to remain in the EEC. That has all changed over the years, and gradually more and more controls have been handed over to the EU. This is just the begining, and although I will probably not be around to see it, the aim is a United States of Europe where we are one of those states and will be run from Strasborg or somewhere similar. Wealth and commerce will obviously change, and the poorer countries will become richer and vice versa. In all probability, everyone will pay high taxes to stabalise the poorer economies, of which there a quite a few. Once the EU becomes a USE, there will never be a chance of leaving in the future, with a European Army responsible for defence. The states of Germany and France will have the biggest say, and ultimately will have achieved what they have been trying to do for a long time, running Europe. (All a bit tongue in cheek, but may not be a million miles away from the truth)
Slight problem with your post as EU as expanded there are more poorer countries than Wales, so we will either lose or wont get as much money from EU in future as these countries will get the money not Wales
That's been the problem all along with the Brexit argument. The south of England and other areas are doing very nicely and Brexit won't effect them, but as this graphic shows, Wales remains one of the poorest regions in Europe. Seek the truth, Brexit is all about English nationalism, they don't give a f@+%k about Wales and we voted just like turkey voted for Christmas and we will keep doing it until we wake up

Independence my arse...
So it's ok to be an English Nat but not a Welsh Nat eh? Oh well each to his own.

England is independent. Probably wants to bin Wales, but of an Albatross you see.
What the Nats want on both sides.[/q]
Aye,along with the north, the south west as well as wales.
Think the North East voted no to independence. Wales mistakenly voted yes, and it’s been a disaster. Welsh politicians have exposed for the buffoons we knew they were.

As I said and you did not allude to it wales is going to get less money from EU because we will not be eligible for the money compared to all the poorer nations who have recently joined and the ones waiting to join! As for graphics bit like statistics you believe what you want them to say..

I am under no illusions Brexit will be challenging and think we’re in for a tough couple of years but I voted leave for my children and grand children, so your less to lose jibe is idiotic. Do you think individual sovereign nations should have their tax rates set by unelected Eurocrats in Brussels, do you think our national security should be in the hands of an EU Army, are you happy for the EU to continue expanding. Over forty years we’ve been in the EU and Wales is still lagging behind many parts of the U.K. but it’s all the fault of England, so why are you voting for, what you believe is, the status quo?
