Can we do that then? Hope so, is it because he was already here before the embargo?
That's what has been printed - will get the link ....

I'd be happy if we could do that for the short term until it's sorted, if not it'll be Revell and Mason with the injured Saadi, not sure how long he's still out for.
If we cannot get Watt, we'd be very light with any sort of decent strikers.

Cardiff City's dwindling play-off hopes have suffered a huge blow after the club was hit with a transfer embargo for breaching Financial Fair Play rules.
The club are considering an appeal against the Football League sanction, arguing that their accounts for the 2014-15 season fall in line with requirements.
The transfer ban, which applies only to this January window, has already scuppered what appeared a done deal to sign striker Tony Watt permanently from Charlton, though they could now attempt to extend his loan.

Don't know if you noticed but the thread you posted in says TRANSFER EMBARGO in capital letters as the headline

Yes but I thought swap deals and loans were allowed. As long as the player coming in is similar price to the ones leaving and on similar wages

How I read it, but remains to be seen if Charlton will 'play ball' on the back of the FFP decision and his positive performances whilst here?
Time for them to 'cash out' elsewhere, maybe?

Can't see what all the fuss is about. We were never going to be doing much as far as bringing new players here during this transfer window, whatever some people might have thought. It will sink in eventually that Tan is not interested in this club, as a few of us keep saying he is trying to cut his losses before he attempts to get out altogether. Slade is doing what was expected of him, trying to help with cutting costs while ensuring we are still playing Championship football next season. Been saying all season that we are destined for a finish of between 12th and 15th and that Tan won't be in any rush to sack a manager who is doing exactly what was asked of him. Fans who still think we are play off material must be taking something pretty strong. Our first priority is to get to the 50 point marker, and to try and stay well away from the relegation battle. I don't think this club will have a sniff of Premier League football while Tan is in charge. My advice would be not to believe everything you hear from those running this club. They will make the right noises to get as many people as possible through the turnstiles. I doubt if the transfer embargo has come as any sudden shock to those at the top. They would have had an idea this was coming even though they continued to say that we were looking to bring in Watt permanently, as well as looking to sign other players.

I can't believe that there are people on here that think we can still make the playoffs.
In reality we have more chance of being relegated.
Season tickets will be lucky to hit 5000 next season. (the only way to get rid of Tan is very everybody to say, enough is enough and agree not to buy season tickets). We need to go down to rebuild.
We can't blame Slade for this, Tan has to go and accept full responsibility for the shambles that he has presidised over.
His buisness descisions have been a complete disaster. He will suerly lose face in Malaysia over making so many poor descisions.
