That's true. If they are really running away from something that is so bad why pass through many countries on the way here? It's because we are a soft touch that's why? Worst of all, they hate us so much they want to kill our soldiers. Granted not all but too many for my liking.

A good analogy...

Take an economic migrant (because there are very very few genuine asylum seekers in Britain) and
imagine him as a beggar in the street. Destitute, abused, starving, clothes in tatters.

you offer him bread, you offer him a hot drink. He walks on by. The next few passers by offer him clothing,
food, drink...he walks on by.

He carries on walking, past many concerned people...

I would imagine that the bulk of Italy's and Spains is from Africa and the bulk of ours is from Asia but that is just a guess.
