The only benefit plain and simple was that we didn't go under.

Yes.We could have gone into admin and be in the shit'like Swansea.Southampton.Crystal palace.And guess what.They kept their identity.Disaster.Where are they now.

Or we could have ended up like Aldershot, Wimbledon, Luton, Hereford, Portsmouth, Leeds, etc.

We'll never know but neither Swansea or Palace's debts were in the same league as our were at the time VT/TG got involved after Hammam and Ridsdale's eras.

How many times have they flirted with Administration/winding up ?

How many dodgy owners have they had ?

How expensive are their match tickets ?

How many of their best players have they had to sell in the last few seasons ?

How many transfer embargoes have they had to endure ?

We had to put up with all of those things before TG, and the VT, got involved and quite frankly it was no fun and left a bitter taste with money being wasted on helicopters, fish tanks, etc. People have short memories, some of us never want to go back to those days, shitty red (which I don't believe is necessary) or not
