I don't see much value in him. He was deteriorating at the end of the season, injury prone, 1 year of contract left - I'd say take the 1.5m and run. His wages are bound to be high as well. He has the telltale signs of a slumping talent about to disappear off the radar.

We had 6m offer for Ledley with 6 months on a contract
We had 5m (I think?) for Boothroyd with 6 months on a contract.

1.5m would obviously certainly dismissed. You wouldnt even replace him with a decent loan for that amount.

Yep, keeping the talent we want and then buying the same. Viva la Tan!

£1.5 mill is ridiculous. Attitude disappoints me on times but clearly has the quality to become a regular premier league footballer. Would rip the championship a new one if used correctly, when driving forward in attacking positions he can be almost unplayable.

Lets hope this is just a rumour, if we lost Mutch and Campbell for a combined total of £2.5 mill it would be a farce.

Yes, it would be well worth Man Utd, Spurs, Everton etc taking Mutch for only 1.5 million. After loaning him out to a mid table Premiership team for a couple of seasons, I believe Mutch will eventually become a player good enough to break into a top half Premiership team and he will become an England international. I've said this since the end of our Championship winning season and I will always stick to it. 1.5 million, what a bargain and what a cock up by us!
