IN MY OPINION what Tan has done is totally rebrand the club. Disagree all you like, but that's my opinion.

He hasn't changed the name of the club nor its nickname. The two most identifiable aspects of the brand. Hence no total re- brand. Opal Fruits and Marathon chocolate bars had total re brands. New name, new packaging change of marketing strategies etc etc.

I'd say he was trying to eradicate the "bluebirds" from the club. It's an after thought on the crest & it's stopped being widely used by club officials.

And remember those bastards at Walkers Crisps swapping the colour of the packs on thier Salt & Vinger and Cheese & Onion crisps. What was that all about.


Anyway did you know that Jif is still Jif in Australia as apparently the Aussies would accept the change of name. Started a protest group called "Jiffers Unite" and held "Celebration" marches support the brand.
