In my opinion Australia has the right approach on this . We welcome any race or religion on our terms , if you don't like those terms you either ain't coming in or you are getting out .

Fully agree with that. Just watched the people who done it just talking to someone passing by recording and I cannot believe how the killer just talks about it straight after, It is disturbing to say the least.

I think all muslims have a part to play. Its their community, as a collective in this country, they should be banding together to uproot and remove the bad apples amongst them, but it doesn't seem the case. Their religious beliefs seem to be over ruling what they really should be doing as citizens of this country. And that, I think is why all muslims in this country are now getting a bad image. People are tolerant in this country, you only have to go back to the 7/7 attacks and the aftermath to see just how tolerant we are. We forgive and give the benefit of the doubt, but the patients will eventually run out. Its about time the muslim community in this country started taking action and showing the rest of britain that they are serious about routing out the extremists in their community. If not, then they really can't complain at being branded as all the same

There's plenty of white British in there for that as well, it's the fact they try to convert everyone to there way of thinking especially people who are vulnerable.
This country won't do anything because it can't, they are already here, it's too late to integrate because they don't want to.
What can be done?

In my opinion and I know most won't like it, I would get them out

It is quite hard to rout all of them out as there are so many in different areas in the UK. A lot of us today never expected anything like this to happen.

A start would be their mosques, and what is actually being taught to young impressionable kids. Parents, what they put over to their children, it just seems to me that there is something fundamentally wrong in the british muslim community. And I don't think its a small minority like a lot of people would like us to believe. I'm not saying 100% of it can be solved. But the amount of young asian and black muslims now preaching hate in this country is very concerning, and in my opinion the Muslim community are not addressing it. They got their ears closed to it.

Oddballs that is simply not true, in our Mosque in the Docks for example nothing like this is ever preached and I'm sure that is true in vast majority of Mosques in the UK. People keep repeating the same old lines with no idea whatsoever what goes on in the mainstream Muslim community. A number of recent terrorist cases were resolved with the help of the mainstraem Muslims but this very quickly gets forgotten. I'm sure these criminals never made their intentions well known but it's the rest of us that has to pay the price. Also while we are a community we all got different ideas, different background, sometimes we fight each other like everyone else...we don't all know each other.
To spread hatred to disaffected and misguided young men you only need a room or an internet forum, what you are forgetting is that these idiots see this as some kind of revenge for the invasion of Iraq or for the tens of innocents killed everyweek in drone strikes or for whatever - and they want a reaction because when you have that it never stops. Every party sees themselves as the victim and they seek redress through ever more violent words or actions.......this is really depressing.
Please remember in the Muslim world you also have terrorist atrocities where the perpetrators and victims are Muslims!! So please don't tar us all in the same way. Its really disappointing to hear reasonable and decent people like your self talking like this.

Shocking incident, and indefensible. However, this kind of incident is a reflection of our eagerness to jump into bed with the yanks and invade Muslim countries at a whim, when we shouldn't be there. Pull out of Iraq and Afghanistan, and gradually things will change...

Some right thickos in this thread, these men and 99% of British terrorists are born here. What we need to do is come down hard on those people who preach hate. Infiltrate these mosques because trust me, we do not know half of what goes on in some of them. We need weed out the lecturers of hate and preachers of Al qaedas propaganda. These young men who turn to them do it because they believe in the hate. Just like the group of mongs who follow the BNP, they are two peas in a pod.

My first step would be to open up a prison for terrorists, have a zero tolerance policy on hate and lock them up at the first sign of trouble. Closing the borders at this point is frivolous, sending them home will mean sending them back to where they were born, in our cities. Damage has been done, thank you labour you have blood on your hands.

Re: Soldier killed in terrorist attack in Woolwich

I don't believe anyone does these things in the name of religion or faith. It is just a cover up for evil people wanting to justify their evil actions, or a method of brainwashing vulnerable people. People fear God and if they know nothing about who God really is then they will believe lies about Him.

Unfortunately people in this country want us to stop talking about who God really is and let the liars have all the say.

Sadly, the true believers get tarred with the same brush as these vicious, nasty, heartless disgrace to mankind.

RIP Woolwich Man

Answer me this then yasser. Why are there now so many disillusioned young british born muslims in this country? Why are they turning to these extremist views in their droves? is it really all down to the internet? I mean, every other minority has the same access to the internet? So why do these extremist views seem to be effecting young muslims more than other ethnic groups? I'm not talking about muslims born outside of this country, but "british born muslims" why are they turning their back on this country? Why are they getting these ideas into their heads of harming other british citizens, why do they hate the soldiers that would gladly put their lives on the line for the freedom of every citizen in this country, no matter what race religion or color? Where is it all coming from? I understand yor point about not taring all muslims.. I wasn't trying to, but the amount of british muslims now turning to extremist views, tells me that a lot of it is being taught from within their own community

Re: Soldier killed in terrorist attack in Woolwich

The young muslims who listen to the hate spread by Abu Hamza and co are just as bad as the young people who believe the rubbish spread by Nick Griffin and co. No different, they are extremists and not wanted.
