The reports were before the £15 million signing of Andy Carroll, they play with one up front and I don't think they'll be getting Carroll and Lukaku.

We should be able to beat a side like West Ham for Lukaku, as a side that finished about them last season, will be playing in Europe next season and have a coach with the influence of Laudrup rather than a coach with the influence of Sam Allardyce.

Well we haven't said that at all, I think it's unlikely that it will happen, but if he was to go out on loan then we'd be the most likely club to sign him. You certainly cared until you lost the argument.

As I've said, I'd much rather us sign Aubameyang permanently then get him on loan, which appears to be more likely.

The point is that we are realistic options for players of this sort of quality, because of the nightmare that the Europa League is in your opinion, and that we will address our problems up front in the summer.


408 posts in 2 years on a rival message board isn't really obsessive, when 90% of those posts have been about our club. I don't post on here everyday, and only really post on discussions that have been made with the intent of Swansea City supporters replying. This is the place for news about our club, if something's happened then it will be on here, and you'll be able to discuss it, I'm just giving our side of the story when people on here tend to laugh at us for things that they've made up to try and make us look bad.

I didn't say that we were at the top of the Premier League, I said that there is a big difference between the top and the bottom of the Premier League unlike in the Championship. Hence, there's a bigger difference between 8th and 20th in the division.

They are the most realistic signings for you, you've branded about loads of players on here like Buckley, Phillips, Ramsey, Vermaelen, Hangeland, Arshavin and all sorts of players you won't get, but these three have the most substance to them.

Some players will favour going to you for your manager, the fact you are in the Europa and have done reasonably well..

Some players would prefer to play for our manager, in a bigger stadium, in front of bigger crowds, and in a bigger better City.

I would however expect you to have a bigger budget, especially with you likely to sell some players and having had 2 seasons of profitable premiership football, but given the promised additional investment it may not be that much bigger.

I think you will find when they got into the Europa League they didnt strengthen their squad, que the panic french signings 8 in all in January. I am sure that wont happen to us.

I will say if a player like him had the choice he would join us due to the football we play, and we will give him European experience, but if we weren't in Europe it would be none of us and he would go back to West Brom.

By realistic I mean transfer targets based on reports, that have some sort of substance to them, not just the "Andrei Arshavin's available on a free he'd be a good signing" threads that you get on here.

Just because we are in the same league does not mean we are on a level playing field, you are not on a level playing field with us just like your not on a level playing field to Manchester United.

A lot more players would find Michael Laudrup a bigger influence in them joining a club then Malky Mackay, and a lot more players would join a club due to European football then they would to go to a bigger ground or move to a bigger City.

We're not going to have a bigger budget than you. I'd expect us to spend £20 million tops unless we sell any player, whilst Tan has said he's going to give you £25 million, that's not what matters though, it's what you do with it that counts.
