If we had a poll on the most annoying poster then our dear Chuckles would be up there near the top.

Sometimes to turn a business around you need to make sacrifices - lay off staff, rebrand, relocate, change manufacturers. With a footballing business only some of those are applicable because otherwise there would be uproar. Imagine if Tan tried to relocate us like other businesses do? It would cause murder.

I would not be surprised if Tan returns us back to blue once we are making profit. At that point he'll have what he came here for. He'll have a business known, a brand known, a profit making machine in the west and a continuous stream of income from TV deals and competition money. He can then also be regarded as a hero if he returned us to blue.

The key is it takes sacrifices to get there. When a club is losing as much money as us per month then I do think from a business point of view one has to understand that he will be trying whatever he can to scrape from the barrel. Of course this is wishful thinking but we genuinely don't know his motives and I have given up second guessing. What will happen, will happen now. People should just accept that and hope and pray for the best.

I disagree. Tan could have done everything he has done, with us playing in Blue, with our old badge.

EXACTLY, but he didnt, therefore he is cvnt to me and many others...

TAN OUT!!!

Roll on next season, maybe Tan will invest our ST money in changing the seats to red!?

:old:

Typical business acumen that does not apply to football.

If there is something I don't like at Asda I go to Tesco. Why because there is no loyalty or association to Asda.

Supporting a football team is different as you should know. When you pick your team it is for life, that is the unwritten code. The association is bonded at that moment of choosing and the loyalty is proved through time. This is totally different to being a "customer".

Just because someone has renewed does NOT mean they like it as you are implying. There is a higher level of discontent that a football club can go to where a high street food store like Asda cannot. That is all down to the association/loyalty/bonding of the supporter to the club and that allows the likes of Tan to get away with it.

You are missing my point. I am seeing it from TANS eyes. He will see ST renewals as full endorsement of the red and the rebrand. You can't dress it up in any other way. He won't be shown petitions and protests, people dressed in blue. But he WILL be shown spreadsheets showing mass numbers of Cardiff fans renewing for the new season.

People calling him a dictator in this thread yet they have renewed, honestly it's baffling but then again these types of people were probably the ones who were bullied at school and did little about it.

Re: VINCENT TAN.

The saddest thing for me is that people will actually walk away from the club.
Fans will give up on the club they love because they do not agree with the owner and what he believes will work.

You don't have to agree with it or even like it, I for one will always think of the colour blue when I think of Cardiff.
I am not having a pop at anyone who walks away, I really do feel for them. They show they have passion to stand up for what they believe in and I can respect that aspect.

Sadly we will probably be a premier league club and for every passionate fan that walks we will inherit a new glory supporting fan who just wants to follow a premiership team. Truth be told we will get these new fans whether the old ones walk or not.

The rebrand was a hard pill to swallow and that's for sure. But instead of biting your nose off to spite your face just think of how hard it was living hand to mouth under Ridsdale and having to renew your season ticket earlier every year to keep us afloat?

We can all say we would prefer to be blue and playing in the conference, but if that actually happened you would have a bigger out cry because we didn't grab the chance with the rebrand to secure our future.

I hate the rebrand but I can also see it is our only way of securing a solid future without returning to the winding up courts time and again.

It is time to stop crying like spoilt brats because we can't have our preferred colour and man up to our responsibilities. Once that is done then we can look at restoring some of our hertige.

I would rather be struggling in blue in any division than do alright in the Prem in red. 100%. I would be 10 times happier if we were to remain in blue and stay in the Championship than if we got promoted in red, but that's not going to happen so I've just gotta get on with it and support the team. Unfortunately for all of you I will always moan about the rebrand because I care about this club and what's happening to it.

Spoilt brats? The only spoilt brats will be the pro-reds who will be booing every week if we're in a relegation battle next season.

No offence but I would first and formost rather have a secure club with the knowledge that we aren't going to be wound up. Its all good saying that you'd happy for us to be in the confence but we would never survive. You can disagree with that but I honestly believe we would have just gone down the path of pompey and rangers.

My point is that I would rather watch Cardiff City in the conference in blue than watch Cardiff City play in the Premier League in red. Regardless of the financial situation.

What everyone needs to realise is that it was never red or dead.

I often see this myth "that it was never red or dead"

If we hadn't accepted VT's rebrand then he might not have moved his cash out of CCFC but he sure as hell would-not have put anymore in.

How long would we have survived without that support? Anyone’s guess (mine is one month at most two) before we would have had to go cap in hand to VT and ask him to come back as we would have been on the brink of receivership having not paid our players. Who knows what the terms would have been then, Bluebird gone for sure and probably a change of name as well as the rebrand.

Frankly you are in a completely deluded world if you think a bunch of football supporters could play Russian Roulette with Tan and hope to win

The man is immensely powerful and we should be looking to exploit that rather than confront him over it.

That said if the whole idea is unpalatable for you personally then by all means go and support a team in the conference who play in blue, but don’t expect to impose that wish on the rest of us.

Thank-you

'Red or dead' was a myth in the first place. How can anyone claim that we wouldn't exist if the rebrand didn't go ahead? These are all just assumptions. We've been close to going out of business at the end most seasons for the last 5 years or so but nothing ever happened.

Tan stated the other week that he would walk and leave the club in safe hands if fans went against him. So you're wrong on that one.

I said that "I would rather watch Cardiff City in the conference in blue than watch Cardiff City play in the Premier League in red". If you're going to suggest that I should support a team in blue in the conference just because they play in blue then you should support Manchester United because they're a successful team in the Premier League who in play in red. Fair?

You're basically telling me to not force the anti-red stuff on you guys, yet you're telling me to go and support a different team because I'm against this red crap, great logic.

I am getting bit sick of some people ordering us staunch Bluebirds to "get over it", "man up" or "get used to it". The easiest thing in the world is just to accept it, anyone can do that, but I will NEVER accept us playing in red and as long as I've got a hole in my arse.
