Who's to say Tan won't turn us back to blue once we are making profit? The reason we are red now is because he is trying to scrimp together every penny and make us appeal more. It might work, it might not but hes willing to try and get something going.

Sometimes to turn a business around you need to make sacrifices - lay off staff, rebrand, relocate, change manufacturers. With a footballing business only some of those are applicable because otherwise there would be uproar. Imagine if Tan tried to relocate us like other businesses do? It would cause murder.

I would not be surprised if Tan returns us back to blue once we are making profit. At that point he'll have what he came here for. He'll have a business known, a brand known, a profit making machine in the west and a continuous stream of income from TV deals and competition money. He can then also be regarded as a hero if he returned us to blue.

The key is it takes sacrifices to get there. When a club is losing as much money as us per month then I do think from a business point of view one has to understand that he will be trying whatever he can to scrape from the barrel. Of course this is wishful thinking but we genuinely don't know his motives and I have given up second guessing. What will happen, will happen now. People should just accept that and hope and pray for the best.

Tan is a decent man who is listening to his fan base. He made some changes that were initially unpopular but the fans have backed him financially in their droves by renewing STs, to me that shows great business sense and accumen. The best way to see if fans like something is to see whether or not they come back and most of us have bar a few.

Roll on next season, maybe Tan will invest our ST money in changing the seats to red!?

If there is something I don't like at Asda I go to Tesco. Why because there is no loyalty or association to Asda.

Supporting a football team is different as you should know. When you pick your team it is for life, that is the unwritten code. The association is bonded at that moment of choosing and the loyalty is proved through time. This is totally different to being a "customer".

Just because someone has renewed does NOT mean they like it as you are implying. There is a higher level of discontent that a football club can go to where a high street food store like Asda cannot. That is all down to the association/loyalty/bonding of the supporter to the club and that allows the likes of Tan to get away with it.

You are missing my point. I am seeing it from TANS eyes. He will see ST renewals as full endorsement of the red and the rebrand. You can't dress it up in any other way. He won't be shown petitions and protests, people dressed in blue. But he WILL be shown spreadsheets showing mass numbers of Cardiff fans renewing for the new season.

People calling him a dictator in this thread yet they have renewed, honestly it's baffling but then again these types of people were probably the ones who were bullied at school and did little about it.

The saddest thing for me is that people will actually walk away from the club.
Fans will give up on the club they love because they do not agree with the owner and what he believes will work.

You don't have to agree with it or even like it, I for one will always think of the colour blue when I think of Cardiff.
I am not having a pop at anyone who walks away, I really do feel for them. They show they have passion to stand up for what they believe in and I can respect that aspect.

Sadly we will probably be a premier league club and for every passionate fan that walks we will inherit a new glory supporting fan who just wants to follow a premiership team. Truth be told we will get these new fans whether the old ones walk or not.

'Red or dead' was a myth in the first place. How can anyone claim that we wouldn't exist if the rebrand didn't go ahead? These are all just assumptions. We've been close to going out of business at the end most seasons for the last 5 years or so but nothing ever happened.
