now are we talking turnover that's what money club generates in sales of shirts, tickets ect ect, or money from sky which is income? ever so slightly different! and have you employed 400 more staff at club? seems a bit extreme considering nothing is bigger in premier except your crowds by 5k on champ ones! and I understood it was region which benefited with extra jobs hotels ect ect no wonder swans fans confused by having to much money they don't know whats income or turnover!

this may well be true, but as we get bigger crowds than you,do you not think that we also contribute a similar amount,,why would being in the premier league make any difference, its about bums on seats surely

Why would being in the pl make any difference, are you joking  sky money simple as that.

Errr, you've missed the point I'm afraid. Your thread was about contribution to the local economy, not club turnover. The 2 aren't necessarily related
I think its you who is missing the point, without sky money do you think the swans would be able to employ 400 people. without sky money there would not be £58 million for the local economy, yes more merchandise, is sold, bigger crowds etc, but thats all small fry compared to the sky money. The best supported team in the championship, will have a smaller turnover than the the pl worst supported team.

the people you employ now in the pl you would need to employ in the championship as your crowds are not that much bigger its the same amount of people there dishing out chips in plastic trays..

KJ, the £58m mentioned has nothing to do with Swansea City AFC but what PL football has brought to the local and Welsh economy, our turnover has been reported as £65m, the two figures are totally separate.

The following line reported in the Guardian summed it up for me:
From the sweep of the spectacular beach adjacent to the city centre in Swansea Bay, to the Gower Peninsula beyond, Swansea City FC can lay claim to the most beautifully-located club in Premier League history

Yes your right, you put it better than i ever could, the 400 jobs are not from the club, but all around the city and beyond, weather you are a swans fan or cardiff fan you have to say creating jobs is a good thing.

I agree the city centre needs a face lift, but go out from the city centre and that whole area is superb, fantastic place to visit and live.

Who owns the Stadium? Certainly not Swansea City. The council do, don't they? I don't claim to know everything about your club, not really that interested.

Who owns Cardiff City? Sadly, a man whom I don't trust and one that has no respect towards the tradition of the club.

Swansea fans don't own the club by the way, they have a small shareholding and have a place on the board... However, yes - I'm extremely envious at that and wish CCFC had a similar setup. (Have no problem in saying what I admire about your setup)
