Fri Dec 21, 2012 1:02 am
Peterborough a few seasons ago when we was 4-0 and drew 4 all
Fri Dec 21, 2012 1:03 am
When they formed if my memory serves me right they played at a stadium called the hockey stadium or something.. could be wrong. Something I saw on a quiz show
Fri Dec 21, 2012 1:05 am
In a mix between Bristol this season or Leicester last season.. practically none of our defenders or midfield got stuck in at all and was trying to keep fit for Wembley.

This was before they moved, it was a horrible "ground" no roof just pure wind and hard rain on us. It was awful.
Must my coach left before half time for the pub.
Gary Croft scored a winner tho

Reading first leg play off.
Was a horrible trip up, a pretty boring game of football where Long just pressured us all game and Kev had to bail us out twice or we'd have been beaten up there.
Lucky to come back at 0-0 to be honest.

Got a picture of the away end 2b?

6 hours away !

Fri Dec 21, 2012 6:22 am
Sheffield Weds when we needed a point for play offs. Not only a shit result but a shit night out!!
Fri Dec 21, 2012 8:30 am
not sure the worst but 1 of them when we were 4 nil up against peterborough and they came back to draw 4-4 ! plymouth away on boxing day when sam layed on coaches for us and it was bluddy freezing
and virtually every time we went to bristol city in the late70/80's . Don't think we ever won over there around that time who were our main rivals back then !
Fri Dec 21, 2012 8:42 am
Watford Boxing Day when we last 4-1 under Dj. Hungover, heavy cold, early kick off, Marshall saved an early pen after Darcy and Naylor got skinned time after time, we went one up and threw it away after rubbish defending. Thankfully, the fog came down and we couldn't see the last fifteen minutes.

Carlisle away in the seventies. Freezing cold, snowing, 2 nil up with about quarter of an hour to go and Carlisle bring on a substitute, Bill Rafferty who promtply scores a hat trick and we lose. PS The pies were shit as well.
Another game was West Ham away we drew 1-1 Ray Bishop goal. Walking to and from the ground was a nightmare and when we got to the coaches the windows were smashed in. God it was cold going down the M4

During seventies away supporters always seemed to get put in roofless ends. Bristol Rovers, Charlton, Halifax, Newport, Cambridge, Oldham are just some I can remember off top of my head.

Millwall away last season, cold miserable dark december day, 0-0 shite game, took ages to get home thanks to london xmas shopping traffic! got home missed the last train back to mine so had to walk a good hour!
Fri Dec 21, 2012 11:03 am
Probably Newcastle away.
Longest trip you could go on, completely battered, outsung.. the only good thing about it was when Wildig scored a goal in the last minute and everyone was chanting "easy" although it was 5-1.

Agree - that was a crap day out. Took us two and a half hours to get to London and then the same to get to the ground as their were roadworks everywhere in Kensington and some stupid santa f*cking fun run that closed the Embankment and Trafalgar Square. Decided to park at London Bridge and catch the train only to find the station was being refurbished and there was nowehere to park. Ended up at Surrey Quays half an hour before kick off and walking for twenty minutes through some housing estate - not nice in the dark on the way back. On the plus side, after being kept behind outside the actual ground until all the coaches had gone, we were home by 20.00 as it was totally clear on the M4 coming back.

Well it wasn't to long ago the grange end at Ninian didn't have a roof.
I'm not certain but I'm not even sure if the other stands had roofs. We had no protection though, wind, rain for 90mind from all directions haha. It wasn't a stadium made for football that was for sure.

I remember a trip to Oldham on a wild wet and windy day, got there 5 minutes late and we were already 2 nil ahead. The down side was it was an open terrace and we ended up 2-2!

I went to that, we played in orange and got jumped by a load of west ham fans that came from nowhere while we were walking to the ground

York away for me back early 90's. We went as we thought we had just resigned Paul Ramesy but when we got there it turned out the deal was dead as he couldn't play for 3 clubs within 12 months. Hardly any City there and we lost 5.0.
