Well in all fairness, it's getting tedious here too so I'm sure it's worse for them
Tue Dec 18, 2012 9:31 am
Cant really argue with them there right !
We didnt put up enough of a fight
We were forced to sell our history and identity or face closure
It is too late to change anything
What city fans should do is all wear blue at everygame like holland do with orange at internetional level ! Tan looking at a sea of blue everygame would grind on him more than a pointless petition .

Why not put ideas forward in a proactive way, rather than sitting there criticising others?
I note down your points, but also note you aren't doing anything about it yourself?

I havnt critisised anybody i applaud what your trying to do !
But if you havnt got 90 % of the fan base it will fail and a show of colour which is easier to organise would be much more effective than a few signatures on a piece of paper . Im guessing the reason its going out to other clubs websites is because it is struggling for signatures , problem with that is it negates the point your trying to make in the petition statement ,Doesnt it say we the cardiff city fans at the beggining ?
I hope it works but i doubt it as it needs a show of solidarity to the blue in the ground to show an impact not just a piece of paper that will go straight in the shredder .

"Pointless petition" is critical, no?
What percentage of city fans use message boards? Not much. After one week were well over 800 sigs and this week Media Wales are looking to do a piece - that will boost the numbers big time.
You're right - It may do f**k all. But at least I will have tried doing something, rather than sitting on forums criticising other people's efforts, eh?

You have an idea so take some constructive critisism and give people something to look at as well as the petition on the day you give it in get everybody to wear blue thats all i was saying but be very careful .
What happens if your petition succeeds and he gives us back the badge and blue colour ?
He will want his money back and will probably leave the club where will cardiff city be then ?
All the assets will be stripped from the club
Administration definatly
Liquidation quite probably
Playing over leckwith stadium at non league level called fc cardiff quite likely
Be careful what you wish for . And by the way im massivly in favour of being in blue i hate the red and everything that goes with it but i would rather a cardiff city in some sort of guise than not one at all .Im slowly coming to terms with the red but would really like the badge back to a prominent bluebird thats the first fight that should be being made . 1 step at a time .

I can see from your reply, that you clearly haven't even read the petition that is written, take a read and see if you agree.
I'd accept constructive criticism. You haven't offered any. "Pointless" isn't very constructive, is it?!
Tue Dec 18, 2012 10:36 am
By the way 800 signatures is about 2% to 3 % of our fan base its going to take a lot more than that to even get him to read it !

It is constructive because its helping you realise vincent tan couldnt give a f**k about you or the other 20+k of us who want to play in blue . Its HIS club he WILL do what he wants , and he wants us to play in red with a dragon because he believes HE can make more money out of the club that way . He has bought our football club as a buisness to make money not because he loves cardiff city , he will want to make his own legacy and have all the plaudits for making cardiff successfull through his rebrand not by just adding to a clubs history ! The club we once knew is now dead and a different future lies ahead whether people like it or not we have to accept it because nobody is going to buy tan out and change it all back FACT .The best we can do is KEEP SINGING BLUEBIRDS , KEEP WEARING BLUE AND KEEP THE MEMORYS ALIVE because the futures red whether we like it or not !

You didn't bother to reply to my previous comments? Shame.
You seem intent on belittling my cause, so I'm going to leave you to it.
Just remember this though. It may end up pointless, but at least I tried. You say you hate the red, but what have you don't about it? Nothing.

Oh my god your actually giving in on a debate ? never seen you do that before on here lol
Listen i take my hat off to you for trying but seriously what is going to come of it in the end ? be honest with yourself and admit your chances are slim to none to get him to change it back .
You didnt answer me , what happens if you win and he pulls out of the club wanting his money back ?

As I said before, which you conveniently ignored, you obviously haven't read the petition. Read it and see that your comments are not applicable.
Secondly, he's in far too deep now. He's plunged all that money in so he's not going to just walk away.
Tue Dec 18, 2012 11:41 am
Great thats somones doing somthing at last not sure how effective its going to be unless you get 20000 + signitures. Might be a good idea on the last home game of the season when tans definatly going to be there to have a 'blue day' where everyone wears blue or brings their blue scarf.Especially if we're going for promotion or get promoted with all the media coverage, will show that the fans are very much blue to tan and the rest of the world

i have read it . it says we the cardiff fans ? but youve got fans from all over the country signing it all 800 of them lol
You go on to say your not happy and want blue back and the old badge or a say in a new one blah blah blah he still aint interested .
You say your grateful for what hes done by spending a fortune on his side of the bargain but then you want him to leave his money in and lose his part of the deal which he believes is the way forward .
Would you be happy then if he sold all the players he has bought ,called his loans in , added all the bills he has allready payed off to the huge amount the club owes him ,stopped loaning the club money to pay wages bills , and then gave us back the blue which we wouldnt be able to do because we wouldnt have the money for a re-rebrand ?
????? Answer that or is the answer you cant ? Are you going to pay the wages of the normal staff down there when he fucks off because u like a blue top ?

Why would it be down to me? What evidence have you got that he would clear off? You haven't got any?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-sout ... s-18022700I quote from that press cutting: "The chairman added that a proposed investment and development strategy - said to be worth £100m - would now be reassessed, and may include looking for new and additional partners and investors.
Which part does he say he's going to "f**k off"? None of it.
I can't help it if other people have promoted the petition. Where have you got that I have done it?
"He ain't interested" - this could be very possibly true, but what good will doing nothing do? Exactly that. At lest I'm trying to fight what I and many others believe.
You say it's all worth it?
In case it had escaped your attention, Langston haven't been paid off yet, Tan's debts haven't been turned into equity, work hasn't started on the new training facility and the alleged stadium expansion is nothing more than a feasibility study.
In real terms, Tan has only invested a few million more than he had done at the time the re-brand was announced, and he now has more assets to sell if he so desires.
Nothing has changed. Tan was never going to pull the plug and walk away. If he's in too deep now, then he was already in too deep during the summer. All the bollocks about him walking away was nothing more than scaremongering. And it worked a f*cking treat.

Wheres your evidence that he wont ?
new and additional partners and investers can be interpreted 2 ways . 1- he will look for partners to share the clubs ownership , 2 - he will look for new investers and f**k off .
No langstone havnt been payed YET but its a complicated situation , but many other creditors have been payed .
The training ground wont be built overnight and he said it would take time .
The stadium expansion is pointless at the moment until we are a steady prem team
In real terms tan has invested roughly 60 mill since hes been here including a fortune last summer .
He can leave when he wants taking the club with him if he so wishes , hes not the type of person to get himself into a bad position with no fall back plan dont be fooled there will be a get out clause for him hes a very astute man .

Where's your evidence? There isn't any.

What's going to happen when you present Tan with the petition with say 10k signatures of which 8k fans are from other clubs ?
I will tell you , he will file under B for bin. You need to rewrite the petition or remove the other clubs fans.

Not best friends but i have taken an interest into the man who owns ccfc and found out what type of buisness man he is , the answer is a very very successful one who doesnt take gambles and allways gets his way .
He will not bow to a few hundred people wanting him to change HIS buisness which he has spent a fortune transforming and getting ready to be a very successful team and buisness .
I wish you luck but if you succeed and he does walk whos the back lash going to go back on ? there will be a lot of very unhappy people who will have just lost the club they love due to others not likeing the colour red ? lol quite sad really

Again, I asked for your evidence, but you've only given me your opinion.
It's more than a "few hundred" and so what if it doesn't do anything? We've tried.
Lost the club they love? Again, you've missed the point of the petition and arguing hard facts and quotes with your personal opinion.
I respect your opinion and am asking you to do the same, instead of belittling it.

exactly ,
If we want blue back there will have to be a compromise on a split shirt colour or something of the likes of basle or barcelona , maybe then there will be a chance of having some blue back
Tue Dec 18, 2012 4:55 pm
That's exactly what this petition is for, to open dialogue with the club. Rather than be told what is going to happen.
If a compromise can be reached, great. But the fans need to be involved in the decision process.
He's not actually done that much, and the red shirt is too much of a price to pay for me.

And you keep in mind if it wasnt for the malaysians coming into the club a few years ago we wouldnt be having this conversation because its very likely ccfc wouldnt be here anymore and if we were we wouldnt be in the championship , plymouth and portsmouth are examples of that before you ask for proof also look at rangers !.
A change of a shirt colour is a SMALL price to pay for guaranteeing the future of the football club in my opinion , even though i dont like it im more than happy to support them as they saved our club from extinction now we are giving a little back , just a shame some are to selfish to see the whole picture and could end up ruining it for everybody !

what most people fail to see on this board is that other fans see us a JOKE club and its embarrasing how we as fans allowed it to happen. That Leicester board proves it....one of em posted "Any Cardiff 'fan' who owns a red shirt is a disgrace to 'their' club."
and i agree..............
