What would be the reaction if we signed Danny Graham??

Tue Nov 20, 2012 9:59 am

I know we desperately need defenders but would be interested to see the reaction from the fans if Malkey brought in Danny Graham on loan if he was available! Could do a job I reckon.

Ain't going to happen!

The Jacks haven't got enough striking options atm, to allow him to leave!

Mate Fans are Fickle, ESP ours
He is a quality player at this level and would be welcomed in my opinion.

Quite simply the needs of many outweigh the needs of a few.

As soon as he scored a few and was forced to do the ayatollah we'd soon forget.

I can see him being made available in January.

I'd be happy to sign him.

Yeah realise that but just wanted to get an impression from the forum if someone like him would be accepted. Being a jack vs what he could possibly do for us in the Championship.

I think most City fans would be happy to sign him.

Wouldn't bother me if he came to us or not tbh!

The only Jack that I definitely wouldn't want at Cardiff is Tatey!

He'd be a great signing for you, but he's still important to us as we are a but short up front, but who knows what will happen in January.

Your manager was on radio yesterday saying he had contacted a couple of Premier League sides about players but due to C1C commitments they couldn't let any go out on loan. Maybe Graham was a target??

judging by the size of him i,d say peters pies would be esstactic if he rocked up at the ccs

I can see it happening if the Jacks get new blood in January and he is further down the pecking order.

He's a goalscorer, so I'd welcome him.

One of sheer delight but they wont let him go unless they get some more strikers in themselves.

Spot on, looked huge in the u21 game against us. Heard hes been out partying a lot hence the reason he didnt play for 3 games. Not sure how right that is, but just a rumour i heard recently

Agree but I can see them adding in Jan as it doesn't seem Laudrup rated him very highly.

I'd be seriously worried

If you saw him in the U21 match against us you'd understand.

That's hardly fair. Do you honestly think any first team Premier League, or, Championship player for that matter gives 100% in a U21's game? I think not. It's just a run around.

Any Cardiff fan who wouldn't want Graham is just mad. He'd score goals and help you get promoted.

Would he pass the Malky dossier ? The Geordie Shore celebration gives it away.

GET HIM NOW AND WE WILL GO UP AS CHAMPS. :D

Had this debate on the forum last week, the guy had 1 good season at Watford and suddenly people are cumming in their pants saying he's a quality player, he has scored over 20 goals in only one season his next highest tally is 14. Speaking to Swansea fans they think he's been absolutely dire this year and has been rightly dropped! We've already got better than him up front. Would honestly prefer Earnie to get recalled than Graham here

He is not good enough at this level and it could be a sabotage ploy by Jenkins so no thanks.

Would be happy if he joined. Not bothered about his jack connections. I'd hate to see Tate, lita or the handbag thief at the CCS due to the type of person they are

I'd say 40 goals in two seasons at Watford is a good haul... especially considering the quality of players he had to support him.

Same again at Swansea, 14 goals in a season in a team that struggled to create chances is nothing to sniff at.

40 in 2 seasons but he scored 25 in 1 of those like I said 1 good season! Over the last 5 season (Graham's best seasons) he averages a goal every 2.81 games. Heider in the same time averages a goal every 2.78 games!

If he does well for nobody will care after a few weeks.......think of leggy, alan curtis, robbie james etc. as long as they play well and fit in it will be ok.
No Tate though thanks all the same.

How can you say 14 in a season is bad? :?

And in the 3 seasons at championship level or above, which are the ones that impact us most, he's scored 57 goals in 137 games. That's a goal every 2.40 games.

Just looking at his two seasons at Watford and taking out cup games it's 38 in 91games. That's a goal every 2.39 games. Far better than any player in our current squad and with the midfield this team has compared to Watford's he will get a lot more chances.

Take off your anti-jack blinkers. It's embarrassing.

12 Premier League goals is a very good total.

And I, believe it or not, am a Swansea fan and no he isn't "absoloutely dire". He's a very good forward who hasn't played as much this season with additional competition and isn't currently in goalscoring form.

You've got no chance of loaning him in, there's no way we'd let a player like Danny Graham who is an important squad player go out on loan and especially to you. There's a chance he could leave in January if we do bring in a couple of strikers but there wouldn't be much point of simply loaning him out.

Not got anti jack blinkers, if they offered us the likes of Dyer, Routledge, Rangel id bite their hand off, but Graham is not better than players weve already got, i honestly believe that you speak to jack fans they're very happy for him to go! He's been dire in the games he's played this year, he's unfit and has missed a shed load of chances this year.

I think he'll be going in January personally as long as you lot sign a new striker and I'm sure Laudrup has some unknown Spanish striker who'll cost you 5 pence and score a bunch of goals lined up again.

And when he does become available we'd be mad not to sign him from you.

Everyone entitled to their opinion, I live in west wales and surrounded by jacks fans including my in laws and some good friends who are season ticket holders and their view is that they would prefer to see Luke Moore in the side and Graham dropped as he has been so poor.
