Crowds still poor

Sun Nov 18, 2012 12:11 am

whats happening, if we were in championship and were in the position you are we would be at least having 24k crowds and the reason our average crowds in the championship were 16k was because we were always in an around the playoffs still good crowds though and the away support was shit.
We were filling it for big games remember we got smaller ground than you our away end holds around 3k so bollocks to you roll on when we get our ground extended :D What did boro bring down :?:

Re: Crowds still poor

Sun Nov 18, 2012 12:15 am

Boro brought about 500
You wouldn't get 24k crowds if you were in our position, you'd get around 18,000, maybe even a little less as teams don't bring a lot to our two clubs.

But the point still stands, our attendances are higher than yours :D

Like f**k would you have got 24k. You were averaging about 14,800 before you nailed a play off spot. Your crowds were shocking for playing like Barca.

We are 2nd. You say in our position you'd get 24k
You then say you only had 16k last year because you were in the playoffs.

So you think you'd gain 8k if you jumped from 3rd to 2nd?

You do realise that you had 8,000 STs when in the championship while we have 18,000. What fdo you think willhappen when we come up this year? Thats right make you look very small.

You had the benefit of selling ST's on the back of a losing an FA cup final and god knows how many failed play off appearances.

Oh and the old "buy a season ticket in December and we promise to spend all that money in January on players despite the fact that we actually won't and even if we did has anyone given any thought to what might happen next season seeing as we have spent all the season ticket money" promotions

But the bottom line is, don't say you're getting bigger crowds than us despite the fact we're in the Premier League when the ONLY reason is because we're sold out every game. It makes you all look just a little stupid.

You may be selling out now, but once the novelty of PL football wears off and results go against you, those "plastic" fans you've been using to fill the liberty will start to stay away.

The only reason you have got crowds nearing us is because you are in the premier and we are not. When you were in the championship we made you look small and that is your fear because that will come back to haunt you when we go up this season.

If you were such an ambitious club you would have extended your stadium but your not and why are you not. Simple really you have a fear of us coming up and putting you back in our shadow again.

OK,you have brought up the ticket scam to try and belittle. Right, would you not think that after such a scam a club would lose a lot of support? Yes you would but we still kept our numbers.

Re: Crowds still poor

Sun Nov 18, 2012 8:33 am

Its not your ground to expand. Anybody can sell out in the premier league. We have certain issues with our fans at the moment but we still got more than you. Even if you do expand and get 5000 more through the gates this proves nothing. Averaging around 21000 in the championship is still pretty good. I honestly think if both clubs were at same level cardiff would have 5/8k more a week than swansea. Cardiffs next upgrade would take ccs to 35k and swans would be around 25/26k so all this crowd talk is just nonsense really.

Re: Crowds still poor

Sun Nov 18, 2012 8:40 am

there's many things we can take the piss out of cardiff about at the moment but attendances are not one of them , like for like circumstances cardiff will get larger attendances than us , talk about money , football , kits or badges and we're ok , but attendances no

extending stadium starts this summer i'm lead to believe , didn't extend straight away because the money wasn't in place and the board wanted to see how we would cope in the prem before spunking money on seats we wouldn't always fill in the champ , another example of a well run club surely
and do you really think we haven't extended our stadium because you might get promoted ffs don't be silly

i agree you have a bigger fan base ,as for anybody can sell out (wigan).you cant ignore the fact your attendences are down which is strange because at home at the minute your untouchable, they should be flocking in
