" FRIDAY NOVEMBER 16th 2012 UPDATE "

Fri Nov 16, 2012 7:29 pm

The red home shirt is selling very well, they have sold out of all adult sizes and most kids sizes in the club shop again and that is the second time this season to have sold out of them.

So far approximately 8,000 red shirts have been sold, it is currently outselling the blue away shirt by 6-1.

The Black 3rd kit launches tomorrow and is available to buy from 9am in the club superstore.

In the club store there are bargains to be had especially for those who treasure the traditional 'Bluebird' emblem, many product lines are down to just 50p and £1.

There have been new electronic signs put up around the stadium, a couple have gone up above the entrance to the ticket office.

Tomorrow we welcome Middlesbrough to the CCS and our club have put on a superb offer for families of Boro fans to come and enjoy the City as well as the game.

Middlesbrough were allocated 1,000 tickets for the game and one offer for their fans was a night stay at the Copthorne Hotel and match tickets for a family of four (2 adults, 2 kids) for just £99.

Cardiff City believe that this offer has enticed another couple of hundred Boro fans to attend the game, City will also provide catering staff to prepare freshly cooked food for the away fans tomorrow too.

Middlesbrough will offer a similar deal for the return fixture later this season and our club officials have approached other long distance clubs to try and offer similar deals to City fans when we go away.
The club are hoping to reach 22,000 with a good walk up.

For the ambassador day against Peterborough there is no limit to how many £10 adult tickets and £1 kids ticket's you can buy, so let's get a massive crowd for this one.

For the game tomorrow we will welcome back Craig Bellamy and Matthew Connolly into the squad but Tommy Smith, Filip Kiss, Maynard and McNaughton are all out. Mutch will have to wait for his first team comeback.

Mutch will play in a midweek development match against Colchester and he will be wearing a specially designed boot to aid his recovery against the injury of the nerve endings problem he has had. If everything goes well and the boot is a success then Malky plans to include Mutch against Barnsley next Saturday.

Dave Jones was sacked by the club 18 months ago and had a one year rolling contract, DJ is still trying to get the payment from the club but he is refusing to accept the shares that are being offered to him and his wife by the club as way of payment on that contract.

On Monday October 29th of this year, Vincent Tan met with a QC and firm of lawyers from London to 'hopefully resolve the Langston situation' but after receiving the detailed report from that London firm regarding the situation Vincent Tan dispensed of the firms services and has now brought in another QC who today was appointed a director of the club.

I understand that Vincent Tan was told that Langston have a very strong case by the firm he got rid of.

Malky tried to bring in Frazier Campbell on loan recently but the player turned the move down as he did not want to step down to the Championship. I am told Malky is trying to bring in at least one player before the loan deadline a week tomorrow but he has two loan targets lined up for January.

Carlos I dont expect Boro to bring more than 650 fans tomorrow, their away support has never been good.
Great to hear that our club are going to set deals up for our long journeys away. :ayatollah:
Cant believe it, that the Red shirt is selling so well, I really am in the minority, but proud to be so and I will always remain that way. Others have their beliefs/opinions etc that is up to them, but I will always be BLUE. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Good to hear Malky is looking to strengthen our squad. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

How can a football manager have shares in a club? :?

That just means that he's want to lose against us to maximise his share value.

I think they were put in his wife's name when DJ was here, I said the same when he was our manager.

So back to square one with Langston. When will this nightmare end? It wasn't so long we were virtually concluding the deal. And so the debt rises. Bloody hell. This is becoming a real worry.

Re: " FRIDAY NOVEMBER 16th 2012 UPDATE "

Fri Nov 16, 2012 7:57 pm

The new director QC approached the club himself not the other way round. He was not impressed with previous work undertaken and you understand incorrectly if you believe Langstone have a strong case.

Langstone will get paid on Tans terms and not when Sam tries to dictate.

Interesting that someone at CCFC has finally implemented the "weekend away" with Cardiff concept. One of the chaps in the 1927 club went on about this for years, can't remember who but was way back in the early 90's when I first heard about it. I won't bore all with the concepts and how it would work but it was a sound idea at the time, one the chaps involved now runs a very successful travel business to the benefit of us Welsh fans who do go away.

Think his name may have been Mike and he was at one point a director of Cardiff City, moved to Australia I think.

Ah, thanks for the update Carl much appreciated by us ex pats.

You keep saying this, then whats the hold up? Also if Tan is in control as you keep saying, then why has the £100mill debt which has mostly incurred during Tans reign not been turned in to equity/shares by Tan yet as promised?

will get a black shirt tomorrow :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
yeah fair play to clubs who make the effort to look after away fans ,costs are rising and gestures like this are appreciated
Langston is a worry but at least Tan is at least trying to resolve it instead of burying his head in the sand

I doubt even Tan could prove that you've sold 4 times as many red shirts as you have blue. It's propeganda in my opinion to convince fans that the rebrand was the right thing to do.

Well I'm not a Jack, so your post makes no sense.

Lets be honest, it's no surprise the red is outselling the blue... I've seen very few "new" blue shirts down the ground and about in general.

Youngsters are mainly wearing the new shirt, whereas the "blue" supporters are content with wearing older shirts.

As for all the other "inside" knowledge, it's all perfectly accessible if you did a bit of research online.
