oceana cardiff - prices - you real ? - most expensive round

Im from Ebbw vale so sorry if this seems like a stupid post because the price of drinks around my place are usally (2 quid-2.50)

but last night me and a group of boys went round cardiff. started in the walkabout then headed for your eyes only (only to get refused entry as we looked 'too drunk') then headed for oceana.

first order, I asked for two vodka and red bulls, " yes love, 16.50" "you fuking what i said" without thinking

"fuk that Ill have two bottles of smirnoff ice please" (cloudy lemonade)

"yes love 9 pound please"

maybe it was my coulorfull language ?

but dear god thats an expensive night out, did seriously dent my bank balance last night, safe to say Its some one elses round next time

Oceana went out of business a few months ago. I hear it's best to go out on the town during the week in Cardiff as it's a lot cheaper.

id head to brynmawr to be honest with you jack, hit a club called the griffin hard !!! thats where most 14 - 18 year olds hang out on saturday nights, just avoid the toilets as every one in there will be sniffing some sort of narcotic

Also I think he mentioned one in Tred (?) called Escapade I think it is full of my age, very watery pints though apparantly.

ebbw vale is boring, just pubs with old men or old couples having a quite drink,

swansea is the city to go to for your 18th

I went and had a brilliant time

Abertillery is good on bank holiday weekends

80p a drink on Mondays and i think Thursdays. Student nights

But ye i made the mistake of going on a saturday and spent 8.40 quid on 2 bottles of bud

Tip is to get blathered before you go into town if you can't afford the prices

Oceana tends to be a good night anyway with free drink vouchers and £3 tequila shots.

Or, Lloyds is alright. Not the biggest as it's a Wetherspoons but 2 bottles for £5 or 2 jagerbombs for £5 is pretty good!

I believe the holding company went into administration but Oceana allowed to continue trading as a seperate business. That was my interpretation of it. Can always just ask at the bar what drinks they got on offer.

Lumina the holding company went bust a year or so now, they owned Life and Liquid also which I used to spend most of my weekends in. They closed those as they thought it was competition for Oceana but that master plan obviously didn't work. Liquid was a quality club, miss that place! No decent nightclub in Cardiff anymore.

Never found Finland to be too bad, but Utsira in Norway was shockingly expensive with two desert size glasses of JP Chana [shit wine] coming to £16.00. Istanbul airport is one to avoid where a round of 7 beers cost over £90.00 five years ago.

Since the invasion of many students from far and wide prices have gone up ten fold as people know that these full time pissheads thrive on student loans to get smashed 24/7. Thats what i blame
