harsh on coleman.......

Tue Oct 16, 2012 9:50 pm

save your rants if u wanna reply, im not interested. Coleman has his flaws of course but what manager could we afford that wouldn't have any. i think the abuse aimed at him is very sad when the man has got a squad of half decent players and one world class player to pick from. perhaps someone will list all the managers that got Wales to a world cup so we can see how much worse Coleman is doing???? Croatia are far better than us, id say its like ccfc losing 2-0 to man utd such is the gap but u wouldn't sack malky over it!! (well some tools on here would)......there have been poor results but i believe we are finally getting over speed which was hard for Coleman the first few games. the players simply aren't good enough to be competing for world cups. Croatia have such a good squad that they can leave top class players like jelavic and krancjar on the bench....and you're pi§§ed off with a 2-0 defeat to a world class team. embarrassing. get a reality check and realise what standard Wales really are. many thanks

Coleman is a useless manager, his track record proves that. I think its time we get a foreign manager.

Yawn. Could easily have been 12-0.

Re: harsh on coleman.......

i don't agree that he has a poor track record. made fulham established and was only a very very young manager anthem time. he had sociedad upto 3rd just being the 2 super powers of Spain. in his short tenure in Greece he didn't even lose a match. coventry was a hard club to manage with no money and fans against the board, just remind me how coventry have done now he's gone......relegation perhaps??

I think you are incorrect, Coleman has done nothing but move a squad in fine form backwards over Seven, you say we have average players and this is the only point I agree with you on as how is it the late Gary speed improved our performances and ranking drastically with the same average players in his short tenure as manager? Just saying Coleman has average players is almost as big a kop out answer as his after match speech was tonight, we were outplayed from start to finish as we have been in 6 out of 7 games
Under Coleman, tonight's game was a must win game and he starts with Morrison up top, his record at international level is appalling, he has shown little under Coleman to suggest why any manager would start him when Craig Davies is in good form and played fantastically well in last 25 minutes against Scotland and IMO deserved to start this game, let's get into the game, we played a 5 man midfield and were completely overrun which is madness given the midfield we had out today, should have been more than a match for Croatia midfield but we couldn't string two passes together, after half time 1-0 down any man with a football brain who knows we need points from this game would attack second half once again we sat back invited them onto us and Chris ' no plan A or B Coleman didn't make a sub until we went 2-0 down when at Hal time he should have thrown caution to the wind put 2 up top and forced Croatia to think, it was that embarrassing it was like a training match an should have been 10-0 had it not been for a few excellent saves by Lewis price, Coleman has no clue and to use the excuse about him finally puttin his stamp on is bollocks as his stamp is clearly negative football with zero tactics, bale saved him Friday night and that was plain to see again today, I believed we ha a chance under speed in this qualifying campaign and so did the players Coleman has sucked the life out of them and it is clear for anyone to see they have no faith in his ability to manage the team, he has lost the dressing room and is out of his depth and doesn't have the charisma or tactical nousse to turn it around, he has to go now!
If I had my coaching badges I could do a better job and that's no bullshit

On paper weve got better players than N.Ireland yet they go and draw away to Portugal.

Coleman couldnt organise a raffle

Re: harsh on coleman.......

Tue Oct 16, 2012 10:25 pm

he didnt have key players today. i dont think we would have gotten a result whoever the manager was......

i also dont blame him for the serbia defeat, to me that was the players giving up, which was disgusting, but ultimately the buck stops with the management in football.

bale 'baled' him out vs scotland, if he hadnt then that would have been 6/6 losses. extremely difficult for a manager to win over the fans with that sort of record........

i acknowledge its a difficult job but he knew the parameters / limitations of the squad when he took over :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I can't believe some of the defence of Coleman.

You only have to look at the Serbia result, Serbia had scored 3 goals in 9 games before we played them yet they thrashed us 6-1 unlucky Wales? I think not, Serbia haven't scored again in the last two games, even Macedonia kept them out tonight. Shocking.

I know most welsh fans talk balls so I hope u aint putting me in the catergory, im telling u how it is, Wales dont have the players so whether its Coleman or anybody else, we aint going no where. Bale is our only world class player. Serbia have a few, Belgium and Croatia have a load. Grass roots football in Britain is awful, thats why Iv just watched Poland play better than England and look for more technically gifted!! If u think my knowledge is that bad because I said Coleman shouldnt be sacked, then in your next post u can list all the managers that took us to world cups, the ones who managed, giggs, speed, rush, hughes saunders etc.

I know we are shit but with coleman - it makes us even shitter!! If Gary Speed can motivate the team to do well, why can't anyone NEW do the same!?

These results were from the useless home nations when most people didnt turn up because it was end of season.

Speeds result when it mattered in compeitive game were excellent. Colemans have been awful.

You think losing to Belgium home, Croatia away and Serbia away is awful?

I think you need a reality check. We are Wales.

The irony of all this is, speeds only decent results came in dead rubbers or friendlies yet people are falling over themselves to validate those results where as the ones he lost were apparently "meaningless"

Serbia who had scored 3 goals in 9 games (I think) before playing us then thrashed us 6-1 :?
They haven't scored since btw either. That result is nothing short of a disgrace. Other than Bale we havnt looked like scoring in any game and defence is all over the place.

Coleman got the job in the worst set of circumstances possible.

Seeing as i've never rated him (nowt to do with him being a jack, you should hear me talk up Joe Allen) it's a great appointment. Whoever went, it wasn't going to last, so now when they move him on the new person will have slightly better circumstances to take Wales forward.

Was never going to be easy but I think Coleman has made it harder for himself.

Yes we have been missing key players, yes they were games we were underdogs to win, but we haven't even competed in these games. We have been battered game after game. Yes we beat a poor Scotland team who r in a simlair situation to us and even if it wasn't for bad decision from the linesman and magic from a world great we would of lost that one. We have no shape and when we have the ball we look like we r about to lose possion soon. Yet this is with players who play in the premiership still who play against quality players every weekend. So why do we look bad, it's from the terrible leadership from the manager and coaches who r out of their depths tactically and in their player confidence. U don't need world class players to be a winning team, u need a great manager and Coleman is far from that.

Re: harsh on coleman.......

Thu Oct 18, 2012 8:52 am

it has to have something to do with the manager...

use this northern ireland squad as an example.. they have brought in michael o neill who with this squad took them to portugal and contained them at home. 1-1 draw, we would have lost that fixture 3 or 4 nil.. now with the squad he took, probably only 1 or 2 would have been in our starting xi v croatia.. one of those is the keeper.

their goalscorer against portugal was mcginn?? now without checking , does anybody actually know who he is and who he plays for?

01 Carroll
03 McGivern
04 Cathcart
05 Evans
06 Baird
18 Hughes
08 S Davis
11 Evans
14 McGinn
16 Norwood
10 Lafferty

we played with 4 centre midfielders against croatia.. why???

Gary Speed starting this young talented side off and yes, lost his first few games, then we should have beaten england, we beat a good montenegro team, as well as bulgaria, switzerland and norway comfortably.

point is, coleman had the squad already assembled and just had to continue in the same was, just as rogers did at swansea when he took over from martinez and as laudrup is trying to do aswell.

he decided he wanted to put his own stamp on things "his words" and clearly its not working..

we have a squad now fully of premiership players and a midfield on paper worth over £50 million! now if a guy can take a northern ireland team to portugal and get a result with a squad of players with less than 4 prem league players in the team why cant coleman get our squad to do any better?? yet with the same players gary speed could??

Re: harsh on coleman.......

Thu Oct 18, 2012 8:58 am

Coleman is terrible... but the pool of players he has to pick from is worse!

Re: harsh on coleman.......

Thu Oct 18, 2012 11:13 am

Its not even about the results, its the manner in how we loose, we are fkin shit, simple as that, team is flat got no pace, its just terrible to watch , if you do not see the difference of the team other night to speeds after 5 games, you need ya head checked, clowns ;] i dont normally post but i have to for this one, he needs to be gone!! an quick . back down to 130th fifa rankings we go... weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Re: harsh on coleman.......

Thu Oct 18, 2012 11:44 am

1/Coleman wanted the job and under the circumstances that was a big gap to fill,

2/Wales has got no money to get someone whos high profile,
but they will plough endless amounts of dosh in to the egg chasing gimps

3/ The players with quality that Wales got to pick from is a small tit full

But what it all boils down to is Hes a Swansea Jack and a minority of redturds on here cant
accept that -the same for our captain and co.
The sooner you realise cardiff redbirds are no longer representing Wales the better.

If i was Coleman i'd stop playing any matches at your stadium and play at either Liberty for atmosphere,
or even parc y scarlets.
