Couldn't disagree more, he never played him for months despite him playing amazingly for Wales. Only used him when forced to when Ekotto went to African cup of nations. Before that he was being linked with forest because he wasn't wanted.

Always been the same thought polo, over the years we've had some truely world class players mixed in with good European and British standard players but we've never had a manager with the exception of Gary Speed perhaps that could integrate such players with the lower league level players that a small nation like oursleves will always have.

Could be that Bale will be one if not the best ever produced by Wales.

He didnt fancy him as a young left back, gave him a go further forward and turned him into a world class winger.

No he played him left back and realised how good he was then moved him forward after Ekotto came back from the cup of nations.
He was basically forced into playing him.

Cos he was only a kid and had more senior players in front of him at the time

He was 20 hardly a kid, had played plenty of games for spurs previously and was amazing for Wales at the time.

Anyway we can go back and forth all evening. Bale credits Redknapp with giving him the confidence and belief so thats good enough to back up my earlier statement for me.
