Seen a few people slating him, how he was shit and stuff.
He has just come back from injury and played 60 minutes last week in the development game.
He was poor when he first came on, few misplaced passes etc but he grew into the game and he is there as a disruptive influence which is exactly what he provided because as soon as he came on we started winning a lot more corners.
Give him a few weeks. I fully believe Rudy is only going to improve with us. Malky obviously has faith in him and see's something in him to put him on in place of a £1 million player (velikonja) and give him a new contract at the end of last season.
Anyway great win yesterday coming back from 1-0 down to win, would never have seen that in the DJ era. Never say die attitude! Brilliant!
Onwards and upwards!!

I'm not Rudy's biggest fan, but he only helped us yesterday. Mason couldn't win anything in the air because he's so small, so Malky brought on Rudy who in fairness went for everything and won almost all of it.
If he can work on his ball work side of the game then I would consider him good enough

he puts himself about you cant deny that
definetly not good enough to start but a worthy squad player in my opinion

Give him a few weeks.
And he'll be injured again

Great in the air.
Shocking with the ball at his feet.
Doesn't work hard without the ball.

Inspired substitution.
I also dont think Rudi is good enough.
but Bambi had their Centre Halfs rattled, and it allowed Helguson space.
It worked yesterday.

Rudy is just lazy!
All his weak points can be worked on.

i know he's not flavour of the month on here but i think he'll be a big player for us this season. It's hard to get any momentum when everytime you're getting match fit the same injury re-occurs. I thought he was excellent before he got injured in Peterboro last season and it definitely hurt us as a team. If i remember right we were winning that game until he went off as well.
He's not a good finisher but he's mobile, strong, and good in the air and his first touch is nowhere near as bad as some claim it is on here.
Yesterday him and Conway were the difference. Ipswich took their eye off Helguson cos Rudy scared the shit out of them.
I hope the lad proves a few people wrong on here and has a run of games without injuries.

I always like to be proved wrong in such instances. I seriously hope he turns out to be a real asset for us. He was yesterday, in my opinion.
Loved seeing Conway play so well, as he's clearly not favoured by the boss. I can't wait for the Forest game now, it should be a hell of a game, what with more players available for us (hopefully) and the confidence being so high in the squad.

He came on and we won the game.

Very true.

He's not good enough for the Championship.
Sun Oct 07, 2012 3:56 pm
He may look ungainly but his job in this set up is to occupy the two centre halfs, he is a handfull and will give us a different dimension.
The problem on here is the over (knee) jerk reactions to one performance and just basic ignorance of the game. Helguson is shit, so is Rudy, Taylor not good enough, now its Mason sorry forgot about Cowie.
Not every players job is to get the ball, pin his ears back or do a few tricks.

Lazy statement.

To me he looked afraid to break into his stride yesterday.
When he was chasing or in possession he looked as though he didn't want to run at all.
Maybe it's due to fitness or maybe it's a physiological thing about his Hamstrings, either way I have never seen Rudy do better than he did on the first day of last season. He has been a nuisance for some teams but never a threat.

not a fan of rudy. out of his depth here i think?
Sun Oct 07, 2012 7:45 pm
Was brilliant in the CC Final, but the reality is that he is League One at best.
Sun Oct 07, 2012 7:51 pm
he wins headers. but theres no direction to them. he doesnt know where his headers are going, hes not laying his headers off for players etc. not my cup of tea

agree mate - he is far too lazy for my liking. Doesn't seem able to run in case he injures himself and his career goal scoring record is extremely poor. Having met him a few times, he is undoubtedly a nice guy, but we need better.

To be fair he did win a header at some point during that game iirc.
Yesterday he just fell over when the ball went near him.
He gets worse every game he plays

In my humble opinion he gave their defence a torrid time Polo as for once he did put himself about and utilise his height and strength. Crap penalty but he was knackered and shouldn't have taken one.

I like Rudy, I will fully support and get behind any player who wears a Cardiff City shirt, end of.
Sun Oct 07, 2012 8:20 pm
I wonder who the centre halfs would prefer to play against. Helguson or Rudy.
Has Helguson retired from international football. i.e Will he be fresh for forest ?
