" THE PAST 7 GAMES "

Sat Oct 06, 2012 6:23 pm

Well I thought we would go unbeaten in the past 7 games but due to a spectacular reverse at Palace we nearly done it.

We took 18 from the possible 21.

That is promotion form, whether we look at the last 7 or the whole 10 games.

Anyone feeling they were a bit premature with their downbeat predictions after just 3 games in this thread ?

We've been in this position before we need to keep it up all season now :ayatollah:

We were poor tonight and won. Sign of a good team and the goal conceded should never have been allowed. Ipswich look poor but wont be in bottom 3 at end of season and when Jewel is sacked they will rise up table. This could well be our season-last year at Portman Road Ipswich got away with not having keeper sent off in 1st 10 minutes and went onto win. This year they scored a dodgy goal and we bounced back to win. ccfc are going up.

Despite the best intentions of the Manager we won. Sign of a good team ? Yes sign of a Manager out of his depth ? Yes

Leicester have done the same. Far too early to get too excited and the key will be injuries.
So far so good though and only 22 wins required now

still was an evenly matched game 23rd place matched us,we got lucky,

we still need another attacking option IMO to take the title, maybe 1 defensively

Nukes your negativity knows no bounds.

Lighten up, MM sorted out the formation and he won the game, when DJ had no plan B like you said many times he was deemed useless, now we have a manager who is still learning but willing to change things tactically it is still not good enough.

Well I am off out to celebrate our victory, where many City managers have failed to win in the past.

Well done Malky and City.

We have done better than I thought we would Carl but I'm not getting carried away with promotion talk just yet. Whilst we have it in us to put a performance like the one today I will not be confident of maintaining our League position.

Yes we won today against a very poor Ipswich team but if we play like that against the majority of teams in this league we will lose.

I think back to teams like QPR a few seasonsback and the imposed themselves on games and as a result looked a promotion team. At times we don't look capable of doing that in particular away from home. If and when we can impose ourselves in game after game then I will feel confident.

Right now I feel there is a soft underbelly in this team and that is a concern.

We were poor today but i think we would've looked a a bit different had we had bellers, smith and mutch in the side, at home we are doing well but i agree with nukes and i worry that the tactics away are not working, although it's good to see malky changing it around while there was still time, and it paying off, good time for the international break hopefully have a fully fit squad after it, bar NM

Just because we won 6 out of 7 when I said we would win none is being a bit harsh.

We won after being a goal behind and without 4 players who would be in starting 11 Ok we didn't play well but we won and that is all the records books will show!

We are top of the league and hopefully the fortnight off will allow us to et Bellamy,Mutch and Smith back.

Remember it is over 46 games and 22 points from 10 games is a good start.
