ARE WE STRONG ENOUGH WITHOUT BELLAMY AND MAYNARD?

Fri Oct 05, 2012 2:31 pm

I'm concerned about tommorow, malky rates helguson (I dont know why) he is not a goal scorer, and joe mason in attack also worries me, at the level he is not a game altering player, such as maynard & bellamy,

craig noone isn't a big goal scorer, if whitts doesn't chip in with a couple or hudson/turner/connoly,
we will struggle to score goals, not just tommorow but all season

Our decent squad has already taken a battering. With no Bellamy, Maynard, smith or mutch I believe we will struggle at what is a real bogey team. Hope I'm wrong but I think we will lose, but then I'm an eternal pessimist

We will be fine, its different to last season, players were comfortable with their positions knowing theres no competion for there spot. I honestly beleive there will be that extra effort from all players this season, which based on our last seasons table finish, things can only be better this season !... Plus we got noone !

But by doing that, it's like you're happy at a negative thing :?

Never understood why people do it.

That doesn't answer the question, and the answer to the question is no we are not strong enough
without both of them.

We may have won games without both of them, but over the course of a season, missing both of them (Maynard out for season, Bellamy injury prone) will surely have a detrimental effect on out ability to challenge for the top 2.

God forbid, Craig Noone or Whitts should get injured aswell.

We are strong enough yes.

There will be a lot of pressure on the midfield tomorrow to try and give different service to whoever is up front.

Looking over past few games we have been a threat from set pieces if its scoring free kicks or corners.

I dont see how you can say that to be honest mate.

Say Noone got injured? its more or less the same team as last year and they will come up short.

Have to agree to disagree mate, I think we need 1 or 2 more.

Having said that, I suppose it all depends on how good Velikonja and Kim Bo turn out
to be.

I think we should get a striker in but not right now.. we will be okay.. Internation break will give time for Bellamy to be better and get a bit stronger.. we have Conway who had a great pre season.. Joe Ralls who did so and I think he will be a hit in a season or 2.. Gestede is a postive for me.. despite he ent the best he will get my support. :ayatollah:

I agree about Gestede mate, I will support him aswell, think he deserves a chance, dont understand why some people are so against him.
