Kimbo?

Sun Sep 30, 2012 1:31 pm

Still not seen enough of him to see how he plays and plays with the team. Those that were there yest, how did he get on?

Re: Kimbo?

I would imagine him and etien are still adapting to the way of life here, training and the league itself too... Won't be quite up to the pace of the Championship for a few more games yet imo.

TBF being from south korea, living in Japan and then coming here is like going to mars....it must be a struggle fair play. I bet he just watches banzai 24/7 and goes to the dog kennels every afternoon to buy his tea.

Yeh from what ive seen he has made minimal impact. Obviously still settling down and the majority of games he has played have already been over...id hope he will make the difference come that hectic xmas period and beyond.

He was terrible to be honest completely off the pace, ran around like a headless chicken, seemed very lightweight, I was very disappointed. It must be very hard for him though to try and fit in and it is hard to come on as sub, but judging by that, he is along way off making a s full start.

He did look buzzed up, but in a strange way I am glad he had a poor start as it take the pressure of him and malky to play him. Not sure where he plays as he didn't look fast... I trust Malky though and he had a good Olympics.

Him and Etien will be like intergrated new players come christmas..... :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :D

I seen enough of his qualities in the olympics to be confident that he will be an asset to us.

We are in a good position that we are well covered this year so dont have to rush him but I do think he would benefit more if it wasnt 5 mins here 10 mins there.

It didnt help the poor lads concentration with the crowd demanding an ayatollah as he was trying to find his position at a defending corner.

i see people have already decided he isnt worth 2 mil based on a couple of late subs appearences. Unbelievable.

Well if Mason (I think it was him) had passed the ball just a fraction of a second earlier Kimbo might have scored. What would we think of him then?

I don't agree he is useless but based on the evidence so far what other conclusion can they come to?

SPOT ON!!

The lad is gagging for his chance, but he knows that at the moment he is a bit part
player. Very difficult. he gets ten minutes. He's nervy. What does anyone expect?

Re: Kimbo?

Bit gutted with his performance but I'd deffo give him much more game time before i'll comment anymore

That is what I would say, but there again as we are told all the time everyone is entitled to an opinion.

So those who are currently expressing an opinion will base it on what they have seen when Kimbo is on the pitch and so far the evidence is he isn't much good.

Of course we all know that will change.

Re: Kimbo?

I think people expect too much from him as a malky signing
The likes of ben turner, joe mason, noone etc have come straight into the team and looked absolutely top class, kim was always going to take longer to settle due to being from the orient, must be a massive culture shock for him
Some people saying already hes a waste of money is unbelievable in my opinion

Was he a Malky signing????

Seems different from the rest, and he hasn't been in a rush to play him??? Time will tell, he looked good in the Olympics but like a lost little boy yesterday, but needs time and I am sure he will come good...

Re: Kimbo?

Sun Sep 30, 2012 8:26 pm

Kimbo has to adapt to a whole new way of life, he's a young lad so to right him off already is utterly stupid and only Cardiff City fans would do this.

As someone has already said, he was a decent pass away from being through on goal yesterday. He's being given the chance to adapt to life over here slowly by Malky and that's the way it should be.

Nice to see a manager with brains for a change rather than one that just chucks a player into the depend and increase the chances of him being a massive flop

Not as bad as as you calling Tommy Smith "useless" and "over the hill" before you had even seen him pull a shirt on for us

However, you are like a broken record on the subject

Found it quite funny when he first came on and had to defend a corner, was running back and fore looking to pick someone to mark and the canton was screaming for him to do the Ayatolla :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Re: Kimbo?

Needs games.

I would've thought he'll get more minutes (either starting or from the bench) against Brum if Tommy Smith isn't playing.
