What is your best memory of Cardiff City?
For me it's either the first goal I saw at Ninian Park against Birmingham in 2006, Ledley I think. Crowd went absolutely balistic, totally different to when I went to Old Trafford a few months earlier.
Joe Ledley's goal vs Barnsley at Wembley, Whitts' free kick against Leicester, Palace Semi Final or Ben Turner's equaliser against Liverpool.
So many to pick from and I've only been supporting for 6 years!

Turners equaliser. Thought we were gonna do it.

Andy Campbell in play off final 2003 vs QPR takes it for me! I can remember the day as if it was yesterday
Tue Sep 04, 2012 9:55 pm
I've only been supporting City for just over 7 years but I still find it hard to pick
I know it's going to make me look like a "young plastic" but I'm going with Ben Turner's very late equalizer at Wembley this year, what a moment.

You are not a plastic.
Say it 500 times!
Someone following Man u or similar with only Sky sports as a conection is a plastic in my eyes.
You can not be a plastic following city as you are not a glory hunter. How can you be following City?

I know I'm not at all as I've been going since I was 10 in 2005, I've been a season ticket holder since 2007 and I go to a decent amount of away games each season, but I know there will be people on here who think that I still count as a plastic.

For me, it's Kenny Miller's goal at West Ham a year ago.
I know it wasn't anything special, or a famous moment. But for me it showed what our team and Malky was all about. Hard work and pushing until the very end

a few promotions over the years and the those all important staying up moments and running on to the pitch and the players coming out up in the grandstand at ninian to celebrate with us brilliant moments.
The recent wembley trips.
The welsh cup games used to be good packed against swansea and newport county they were good games back then.
The andy campbell goal to take us up at the millennium stadium is my best memory and turners goal against liverpool I was so happy I went nuts lost my phone my camera and my kids.I got all of em back thank god.
I have to say we have had some good days but I hate what Vt has done to the club I am so passionate and proud of ccfc For years I have been proud of who we are and are hole identity of the club has been stripped. So if we had to say a worst memory then for me no doubt for me its the arrival of VT and his new red army and welsh albright beer badge.
Sorry guys I had to say it.

I'm sure it was 5,000 City fans in a crowd of 7,000. Never mind, it was a great day with memories to savour and I've got some quality photos in an album.

Like you said, so many. Here's some of mine:
Beating Spurs in 1977 at Ninian Park.
Any goal by John Buchanan.
Chesterfield away in 1983.
A very scary night in Newport with some Millbank and PVM - best memory being that I lived to tell the tale!
Burnley away in 1988.
My first trip to Europe with CCFC - we played Aarhus in Denmark in 1988.
1988 - with CCFC and with other people - hell of a year.
Early 90s - an away game at the Vetch against Swansea and we won 1-0, with the winner scored by Chris Pike and then Eddie May and his partner, Marlene, plus most of the City team, were in The Philharmonic with us on St Mary Street when we got back to Cardiff. I was in a round with 2 mates and Eddie and Marlene. Hell of a night.
Scunthorpe away in 1993.
My last trip to Europe with CCFC - we played Standard Liege in Belgium in 1993.
Knocking Man City out of the FA Cup in 1994 - and what a goal by Nathan Blake!
Loads of other memories from 1976 to 2000 - and then an explosion of big games from Leeds in 2002 to the present day. I've had a lot of fun supporting CCFC and met some right characters along the way.
Long may it continue!

I have lot's of good memories, but the one that I remember as being a magical moment for me was Brian Clark's header against Real Madrid.
Wed Sep 05, 2012 10:21 am
Buchanon last minute against Wrexham.
Tony Evans 4 Goals Against Brizzle Rovers
Campbells Goal
Yongs Goal
Turners Goal
But the best for me was a Thorne Goal when he ran over to my then 8 year old with Thorne on his Shirt and patted him on the head.
He was hooked after that even though he has turned into right moody F***** in the long run

Scunthorpe Away will always remain a quality trip and i've seen some great goals.
Playoff final win was the start of a New Cardiff City for me.
But The FA cup run had it all. we were losing to Chasetown then going on to the Final. The City was buzzing and no one could quite believe what was going on.
Each round i was glued to the FA cup Draw. We seemed to get that bit of luck and had a realistic chance of winning the FA cup.
I was happy with a day out to Boro and thinking going to Wembley supporting my team was just a dream.
The players were enjoying themselves and the Fans were loving it. Queuing for tickets and spending a fortune on travel and beer and anything Cardiff i could get my hands on.
That is a journey that i will never forget. I know we didnt win it, but we weren't really expected too.
Also looking at Pompey now it may have been a blessing in disguise.

Campbell chip against QPR. Went absolutely ape shit.
Wed Sep 05, 2012 11:19 am
Just within the last few years:
Chopra v Jacks
Chopra v Blackpool at Wembo (massive game, early goal, felt like we were going to do it)
PO semi v Leicester shoot-out
Bellamy v Jacks
CC semi shoot-out v Palace
Mason v Liverpool at Wembo (We were underdogs but went 1-0 up against the "massive" L'pool)
Turner v Liverpool at Wembo
As I said, these are only within the last couple of years.
Better technical goals have been scored, but I chose these for pure emotion
Wed Sep 05, 2012 11:32 am
From my 12years as a city fan there are too many! my favourite memories are:
Scott Youngs goal against leeds!
Peter Thornes goal against Bristol in the play offs
Thrashing West Ham 4-1 at ninian park
Jason Koumas' debut against Leeds!
Michael Chopra's hat trick against leicester
EVERY time we've beaten the jacks!
Seeing us play at Wembley 4 times and the Millenium once
And pretty much the whole of last season!

Plymouth 5-4 after being 4-1 down

Sheff Utd after Black Friday-crap game but 12k diehards singing you are my Cardiff. For a normal league game the celebrations for Ledleys goal were fantastic.
