Personally, I love this song. It's been played at Wales games before and down the City.
The chorus has Yma O Hyd in it which rhymes with Cardiff City. So maybe we should think of a good little song to fit in with this.
Maybe something along the lines of...
(this is the chorus bit where it starts Yma O Hyd)
We're Cardiff City!!!
We're Cardiff City!!!
We'll always follow the Bluebirds!
We'll always follow the Bluebirds!
We'll always follow the Bluebirds, we're Cardiff City!
Can one of the big voices in the Canton get this going?

Love the idea of this, although being a welsh club it would be nice to have the keep the yma o hyd part. Maybe something like;
Ry'n ni yma o hyd
Ry'n ni yma o hyd
We're still Cardiff City
We're still Cardiff City
We're still Cardiff Cityyyyyyyyy
Ry'n ni yma o hyd
I'd like to keep the "Ry'n ni yma o hyd" because it roughly translates as "we're still here" and is a great response to those saying Cardiff City is dead and no more

I believe Yma o hyd should pick up pretty quick just because its easy and effective.

It's fairly easy to pick up the words just by listening to it, I guess an accurate phonetic spelling would be;
REE NEE AMMA OH HEETH.
It's so simple yet so powerful a Welsh phrase. I think it's perfect. Haha thanks moonboots, it's what I do best constantly making nagging threads about getting songs startedeventually some of the voices of the canton see it and try get them started at the back :ayatollah: I believe Yma o hyd should pick up pretty quick just because its easy and effective.
Now we just need those "conductors" at the front to get the fans going like the big European clubs have.![]()

C'mon lads. We're a welsh team, we need some welsh chants!

They wrote down the words in the Huddersfield programme too, people just aren't bothered to learn them. They're just happy to OHHH UHHH AH AH grunt it out. Which not only sounds ridiculous but utterly embaressing. If our fans can't be bothered to learn a few words in ENGLISH then we really have no hope of them learning some WELSH ones. I applaud the attempt the club is making by printing the lyrics, maybe people need to be more aware that they're in there it would take 2 minutes to learn.
As for the Yma o Hyd, I agree it would be better to just sing the chorus in Welsh, but then the away fans wouldn't have a clue what we're chanting about. We need to throw in the odd "Cardiff City" in there just so they can understand![]()
REE NEE AMMA OH HEETH [x2]
AIR GWAY THIGH POWB UH FOH PETH [x3]
REE NEE AMMA OH HEETH [x2]
Even someone who has never spoken welsh before should be able to say that, phonetically spelt out![]()
