A forum for all things Cardiff City

I must admit to being very surprised at the number of people wearing red shirts at the Wolves game. There seemed more red than blue and this was only our second home game. I think this is going to grow and grow. I really thought the majority would stay blue for the whole season and beyond with just a few token reds. Not wishing to stoke up the old red v blue argument as I'm a firm believer of each to his/her own, but being an oldie I'm very much blue myself. Anyone else surprised by the number of red shirts already?

It is increasing, but I thought there was much more Blue, it looks a lot of Red as it stands out more. I honestly believe the hardcore will remain Blue like myself.

Considering we have changed seeing Blue and Red together is respectable with the circumstances.
We all want Blue back but some feel stronger about it at the end of the day.
Whats done is done now but I just want to see us have season to remember despite the colour supporting Cardiff City Fc.

The only reason some people think there are more red shirts is because they stand out, I'd say about 30% were red shirts and the other 70% were casual or blue.

I thought our fan base just looked like a massive pic n mix.
It was disgusting. Some in red, some in blue, some in other colour away kits we've had down the years, then people in random tops with jeans and others in random tops with chinos.
We may as be called Pic N Mix FC.

35% blue
35% casual
hard to be certain, but about that for me.
I wore a red shirt, but great to see no trouble and fans wearing blue and red

from reading this forum and the passion surrounding the rebrand from red to blue, what i wud like to know is , if this investment bears fruit and you make it to the EPL wearing red then will all of you unite and support yoyr club no matter what shirt you wear , be it red or blue. Your thoughts please.

Intresting question. I think if were to make the EPL then it wouldn't make a difference if we changed back to Blue. As the market will boom with shirts with any colour we have because Mayalsia will buy it due to the fact we are a premier league club if we made it.

can we just all wear purple?! win win
Mon Sep 03, 2012 8:53 pm
I don't see where this topic is going? People have a right to buy their OWN clubs football top if they wish.... They are banging money into a club they love and support. Don't see anything wrong with people buying red. Personally not for me but I am not bothered one little bit by what people want to buy and wear.

My question was not about shirt sales if you go up but about will red and blue factions unite as ONE and support your team playing in red in the EPL. Would promotion appease those against playing in red? I still see refererences to possible trouble because people wear different shirts and i find that dusturbing. after all are you not CCFC fans one and all?

Fans wearing Blue massively outnumbered the red brigade. As Annis said red stands out more thats all

Agree. The most red was evident in the family stand which is understandable but even in there I would not say that it outnumbered the blue. Rest of the groung mainly blue and casual with a few reds thrown in.

I was chatting to Keith Morgan and fellow trust members, see it shows I do get on with them, just dont share their way of running it, like I said the other day, I do have friends in the trust.
