Yes and whilst they are at it they can address all the empty seats in the Canton, Ninian and Grandstand that are visible from the Family Stand too. Perhaps you can explain why they weren't full under the criteria you set out above. Fed up of the empty seats being blamed on kids.

most the empty seats are season ticket holders who cant be assed to turn up i would love to see the numbers who dont attend regularly and the club maybe contact them to resell or something

Have to agree, we know there are issues with the FS which need resolving, but appeared much more populated yesterday than Huddersfield, whereas both sides of the Canton appeared empty which was disappointing.

this subject is boring as f**k some blinkered fucker sitting in the canton stand, have a look around first canton allways half empty this subject gets talked about every week

The empty seats in Canton are actually available to buy, the seats in the family stand are meant to be sold out to season ticket holders that don't even turn up to half of the games

Well obviously that isn't good, but if they have sold the seats but people don't attend then I don't see how they can change it other than by writing to the seat holders involved and maybe telling them that if they don't attend so many games per season they can't renew the following year.

The Ninian is pretty much full every game. The grandstand and the Canton are always decent. The family stand ALWAYS stands out though because of the empty seats. It's a big problem because it's "sold out" permanently by season ticket holders who don't turn up.
Mon Sep 03, 2012 5:12 pm
Was unable to attend the Wolves game because it was 'sold out', seeing it half-empty is infuriating.
Mon Sep 03, 2012 5:25 pm
For the Leeds match I'd rather have about 3,000-4000 Leeds fans covering some of the Family Stand than see empty seats but what can we do eh?

The Family Stand was sold out on Sunday.
My mate was told as much on Thursday over the Phone.
Same old story guys, just got to grin and bear it, the Club ARE aware of the situation but cant do much about
it at the moment.

its disgraceful!! i sit on the corner and there are empty seat everywhere but went to buy my mate a ticket of mt e-ticking account shows its sold out hmmm
Mon Sep 03, 2012 6:56 pm
Not this again.
The Family Stand is sold out. Whatever fans want to do with their ST is their business.
It is not an issue until we sell the rest of the ground out.
Mon Sep 03, 2012 6:59 pm
But you said it, it's school holidays family's are on holiday. Familys can't make every game as they are familys. Plenty of room everywhere else.
The family end should hardly ever sell out as they have put in an exra 2 vertical rows next to the away fans, where I site, and they can't be sold as season tickets just on sale for matches. I know this as we tried to move up as wanted to be end of row

You're the blinkered one. The point being made is that people who want to go in there are being told it's sold out when there are plenty of empty seats every game. Nobody is being told that other areas are sold out. Get it now?
Mon Sep 03, 2012 7:03 pm
You say 'Familys' when its technically at least 2 people a father/mother and son/daughter maybe even 3

It is an issue for families who want to go in the Family Stand but can't because they're told it's sold out.
Mon Sep 03, 2012 7:10 pm
the main problem is u9's can have a season ticket for free its just cost £10 admin fee,so people must feel its ok not to go because the seats are free.. and why do they have a family overflow area in the corner between canton & ninian when the family stand is never full ?

With all due respect mate the second line there is a ridiculous statement to make.

It's awful it really is.
People pumping their hard earned cash towards a season ticket and not turing up for the odd game in the family stand.
It does not happen anywhere else in the stadium does it?
It's wrong the fans should be banned for life.
I mean how dare people be ill, go on holiday, have to work on a Sunday or coach youth football teams on a Sunday afternoon etc.
Let's hope the club act quickly and eradicate this fan type.

Exactly my point, u9's free season tickets yet they will never turn up just the parents think it was great to register their new born kids for a free season ticket hoping in years to come they will go down.

THE MAIN PROBLEM WITH THE FAMILY STAND IS THAT IT SHOULD BE SWAPPED WITH THE CANTON STAND TO GET THE ATMOSPHERE BETTER THERE, SIMPLE AS AND THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED
Mon Sep 03, 2012 8:17 pm
just to add my two penny worth!

did any one notice a block of two rows empty seats, must been 40seats at least that was not season tickets not comeing surely?? how about this for a salution, why not put blocks of seats around the ground for families instead all in one area! dont have to do anything except re locate people can do that now quite simple really!!

then can have all round noise and looks less empty seats!

There are so many empty seats EVERY game in the Family Stand, it's all down to the under 9 free season tickets. This sort of thing doesn't happen at any other club.
