So far hes shipped out there best striker, failed to bring in players, and found himself in the bottom 3,
arguably worse than hodgson and definately worse than kenny,
Early days but t doesnt seem teams like liverpool respect any manager they have unless they are regarded bigger than benitez its like a free for all
in my oppinion

I got ridiculed by many for suggesting he was massively overreacted and I think he will be gone around x-mas.
He failed at his only other big job and will again.
He got lucky at Swansea who were already set up by Martinez and he just added a few Chelsea youths he knew.

If hes not out of the bottom 3 after the next 3 games, the anfield faithfull will want him out.. i cant see him being there all season if im honest.

if they lose 2 more on the trot it would be hilarious to see them 3 points a drift. lol

Besides the first game of the season Liverpool play the top 5 I think. I reckon after 10 games if things don't change he could get sacked.

Can't beleive he got the job, Got Sacked by Reading had one Lucky Season with the Scum and BAM! Liverpool job. Just goes to show how much liverpool have dropped in the last few years, Im loving it, Can't stand the club.
Sun Sep 02, 2012 10:03 pm
its bit harsh want him out allready he should of never got job in first place but the players he got not his players he got get rid before buy kenny spend loads money on crap players like 35m on carroll which waste on money when you can get players like david villa hulk or othes top players for that much, charlie adam useless so is henderson and downing, they got give him time to bring in who he wants but i can see him gone by xmas as seem like they don't want to back him in transfer market.

Yes, liverpool are aiming for the top 4 and brenda is fetching in players like allen and borini who are not good enough for a club with top 4 ambitions. Also, he should have kept carrol there who played very well at the end of last season.

I think they got united next aswel... Haha
its his own fault tho.., they dont believe in giving managers time and he would of known that. i hope he is sacked soon anyway!!
They are a mid table team but dont like to admit it, they will never be the force they once was!
Sun Sep 02, 2012 10:14 pm
Hopefully he stays all season

I warned the Liverpool fans in work that he was lucky at Swansea and is massively overrated.
I even told them that Martinez was the true architect behind Swansea but they just accused me of being a bitter Cardiff fan.
Sun Sep 02, 2012 10:52 pm
feckin scouse scum . no patience! the guy is trying to get a fooballing philosophy over, they thinking top 4 this year. jesus fuckin christ! get a fuckin grip! wasnt exactly backed in the window. the red sox are a prime example of inpatience! match made in heaven. farce!!

Brenda Reaped the rewards of the work Martinez brought to fruition. Sousa had very little input during his time, and I have not a doubt in my mind that had Martinez Remained there they would be in a similar place. Brenda will not be allowed time at Liverpool because of the demand for success.
But what bothers me the most,is why are we discussing him after a performance of the highest order by our boys today ?

From what I've seen of them this season Allen has been their best player

Borini was doing very well for Roma having broken into Italy's squad, whilst Allen is more than good enough. Both still young and plenty of time to improve. Don't be that bitter

Allen has been quality for them! It's unfair on Brendan, was promised a new striker, he shipped out Carroll because he was promised a new striker, FSG have fucked him over, the board don't care if they don't get Champions League this season apparently

They should be looking to stay up not top 4

Why they didn't improve their bid for Dempsey is baffling. It wasn't an extra £10m Fulham were looking for, only about £2-3m more!
I think they'll be OK; top 7 or 8. But anything more will be a challenge.

Typical Liverpool arrogance. They thought they could force fulham to sell and cheap and didn't predict a late spurs bid haha

They've got no strikers! They're done, even talk of going after Owen!
Mon Sep 03, 2012 1:43 am
He'll be hoping to get his first home league win in three weeks. Who's it against? Oh yeah, Man Utd
Mon Sep 03, 2012 8:19 am
I've noticed that his body language has already changed, never a good sign. He obviously hasn't learned his lessons from before. Had a good job at Watford and jumped ship for Reading, lasted 6 months. Swans gave him a job when no-one else would take a punt on him, done a great job but jumped ship again.
Can't blame him for taking the Liverpool job all things considered, he'll be set for life. On the other hand, even if he had got us relegated this year, his stock would still have been high enough to take on a bigger job. As it goes, he has walked into a Liverpool that doesn't seem to know it's arse from it's elbow right now.
He'll be lucky to see the season out.
Mon Sep 03, 2012 8:33 am
When he was touted for the Chelsea job last year he came out with a great quote, I'm trying to build a career not ruin it, by that I read that there was too much meddling, for Chelsea read Liverpool.
Anyway, we've moved on, more than happy with ML at Swansea, he knows and can attract players worldwide and not just Watford and Chelsea.
Mon Sep 03, 2012 8:46 am
If he keeps moaning yeah i think he will be sacked...
Mon Sep 03, 2012 9:05 am
he has inherited an awful squad.
and added to it with players like borini and allen, although good players, perhaps not good enough added to the current crop of rubbish they have.

I'm exactly with you on that and have been saying the same since he got the job. What he has to do with the Pool is similar to what he had to do at Reading (re-construct an entire squad) and he ballsed that up!!! Lucky at Swansea and no chance up north!!!
Mon Sep 03, 2012 10:54 am
They have played Man City and Arsenal in their first 3 games.
Mon Sep 03, 2012 11:08 am
Lets be honest hes been let down by the board good and proper.
Wouldnt cough up 5m for a player like Clint Dempsey but splash 19m on Henderson. Do me a favour.
Wont be surprised to see him walk.

As I mentioned, watching him being interviewed yesterday, the body language said it all to me, two years at Swansea, he was always friendly and chatty with the media, yesterday and the day before, it was a scowl...
