BELLAMY

Sun Sep 02, 2012 6:07 pm

Craig's going to struggle to get into the starting line-up if Nooney continues to play like that!

If that is the case, where could he go? Up front with Maynard?

Finally, we have some attacking competition within the squad!

Dont care if he retires.

The problem with Craig Bellamy everything has got to be centred around him and then we dont play as a team like we did today.

Re: BELLAMY

think bellers might sit just behind the front 2?

Wouldn't like to see him retire, but I can see where you're coming from. Noone and Smith played fantastically today, and Kim wasn't even given a chance. For Bellamy to walk straight back into the starting line-up after the break - in replacement for one of those who performed excellently today - would be a poor move from Malky.

I would give Bellamy a completely free role to go where the fook he likes. He would terrorise every team. Bring on the Bellers if he does not retire that is.

Who in attack/midfield would you bring off?

Re: BELLAMY

Bellamy will play on the right instead of Tommy Smith I should imagine. Harsh on Smith but it's a squad game this season

Re: BELLAMY

They'll all get game time as the squad is rotated.

Last season everyone moaned there was o depth or rotation, now we have room for it people are syaing players won't get in.

Never happy!!

I'm more than happy. It's nice to finally see some competition.

I'm not talking about the entire season with this one (of course Bellamy is going to play a big part!), I'm just interested to see if he's allowed to walk straight back into the starting XI after some superb performances from others today.

:D :D :D :D

Re: BELLAMY

I reckon we will see a different Bellamy now as teams won't be able to double up on him as the main City threat. We'll have options all over the field so bellamy should get more soave and then look out :ayatollah:

Re: BELLAMY

So if Noone or Smith have an off day we have Kim and Bellamy to bring on !,

It would be unfair on anyone to get dropped today. But push comes to shove Helguson, Mutch, or regretably even Smith.

I tend to agree. I was one of he few who didnt jizz when he signed. Good player but can bring more trouble than he's worth.

Wasn't a dig at you chief, been a number of posts the last few days being really harsh on the squad situation.

Just used your post to finally say my bit

Re: BELLAMY

some of you talk some right crap.we won well today ,however its highly unlikely we'll pay the same 11 in every game.
craig is experanced ,a quality player who whilst on the field depands high standards from the rest of the squad.
get back quick craig.

Know Craig well do you?? Don't believe the tabloids. None of us know him so don't pass comment that every has tobe centred around him

yes i did say other day with the way we can attack now neither whitts or bellars will be doubled up on so leaving them to do what they do best! :D

Re: BELLAMY

Sun Sep 02, 2012 9:11 pm

Who gets dropped from the bench, Lewis, Cowie, Velikonja, Gunnarsson, Mason, Nugent, Kim Bo-Kyung. My guess would be Nugent, Kiss has already been relegated and who then will make way when Turner comes back. Id chance not having a keeper on the bench.

Re: BELLAMY

Sun Sep 02, 2012 9:25 pm

I don't think theres a "set in stone"starting eleven.I can see malky rotating win lose or draw.Keeps them fresher all season.Must admit though, this huge squad with lots of options takes a bit of getting used to.The point made that teams will find it much harder to double up on bellamy is a good one.

Re: BELLAMY

Sun Sep 02, 2012 9:36 pm

I wouldn't expect him to start but i'm guessing he will be on the bench for Leeds providing his head is right .
A inform Bellamy will be needed to ge us to the premier . Yes there were some impressive displays today but it was only 1 match.

Re: BELLAMY

I imagine the dressing room is a happier place without Bellamy, good player but I think his moaning would get everybody down.

Anyone seen the Ben Arfa goal today against Villa can't understand how he's never mentioned with the top clubs can't get in the French squad. I know he's had problem with his professionalism but he came back from a broken leg.

Smith can play striker as well, how about pushing him upfront with Maynard and dropping Helguson to the bench with Bellamy wide right?

That would be excellent move. He is easy to mark when stuck out on the wing and the fullbacks raise their game against him.
Imagine he had a free role, how would they mark him?
His pace and awareness would make Whitts passing look even better, as he could pick out Bellamys runs.
The big centre halves would not enjoy him running at them, then with Maynard and Mason running around them as well, plenty of gaps could open up as the game progressses.
