And wales v scotland
Thu Aug 30, 2012 6:37 pm
also wales v scotland, plenty of trouble throughout the game ended up with us getting escorted off and put in with the Jocks !!!...cardiff v wrexham welsh cup final, admittedly not a jacks game, but good entertainment...the jacks game when the copper got [ my memories fading ! ] stabbed/attacked/darted onthe north bank involved some well known Cardifians, but mostly Rhondda,we got escorted off for THEIR own safety, a coppers words on the day, all the regulars got a grilling in ton pentre nick...sendintank,care to comment...

I Remember that game against the jocks, they let everyone in with cans and it rained cans and bottles before we got escorted in with the jocks

........, yes infact it was a jack who threw the dart, think he was from port talbot. Loads of cardiff got interviewed. This was one of the first times CCTV was heard of. Old bill told them they didn't give a toss about the fighting just wanted the dart thrower. It was actually stuck in the top of his head

Yes mr 10.15,a mad night!!! A spectacular bus left the Rhondda as i remember it,no bubble games then so we went straight in and introduced ourselves to the jacks. They didnt seem to like us tho,i remember them all running away.Got on the north bank, where we again got much the better of them.I was actually getting arrested, and got a reprieve as a copper with a dart stuck in his head fell on me.I can even remember the dart had a green flight.Anyway OB panicked and let me go.Remember spending a few hours with the plod weeks afterwards,i think they picked me up 5/6 times. It did turn out to be a jack who done it,god that was years ago tho, bloody hooligans!!!

Can anyone fill the blanks in for me here, the Wales v Scotland match at the Vetch. A load of my old dads' cousins and mates came down to Wales for that one, and he was meant to meet up with them in the pub. Now, if memory serves, (I was 6 at the time) when they got back, my old man asked them where they had been and the reply was that they had been watching all the fighting on the beach.
He groaned about the Scotland fans fighting when one of them pointed out that the Scots fans were sat on the sea wall watching the Welsh fans fight among themselves? Apparently there was even a piper playing on the wall as they fought? My old man and most of his mates have passed away a long time ago, was there any truth to any of this.
I can remember hearing about the dart hitting the copper, apparently there were chants of "180"?

No it didn't, it stood for Baker Troop. The founder. The boys were, black jammo, mark and peter baker, sean carey, john neville, squishy, stan, jaffa, mikey morgan, glen and the rest. They were the top boys. The only ones on the north bank when the dart was thrown by swansea fans.
