A TIP FOR OUT YOUNG FANS GOING TO BRISTOL

Sun Aug 19, 2012 9:35 pm

Please take care and be switched on, Bristol has been a bubble match for many years for good reason, there is a lot of bad blood and history between out clubs, now many youngsters have watched Cardiff in a protective bubble with Cardiff for many years and falsely think they are safe and protected from possible trouble.

People get complacent, and sadly and actually it can still be a bit dodgy out there, can you remember when that Bristol City lad was walking down Sloper road last year with his dad, both wearing shirts and one of our knobheads punched him, an I believe went to jail for that madness.

Now sadly, there will be Bristol City fans looking for revenge for that, and it will be open season for some pay back in their eyes. Now those going over on trains please think on your feet and be careful, many of you have never seen trouble or hooliganism, but it hasn't totally gone away, so make sure you are not a victim, innocent fan or not, to some you will still be seen as a target.

Let's hope nothing happens and the bubble scenario will stay lifted between our clubs, I'm sure some of our older heads will know where I'm coming from, and i'm also sure some of our Police will have concerns, keep safe. :old:

safety in numbers lads, keep your wits about you as the inbred brizzle scum will look to pick on smaller groups. Stay in large numbers and you won't be touched.

To older fans Bristol City were our main rival/enemy, they were a horrible lot & were the first to chant "Aberfan" at City fans, probably the worst chant ever to be heard at a football ground,it caused a riot at Ashton gate in 74 when City fans went ballistic outside.

take bricks, snooker ball/socks, koshes, bottles whatever you can get your hands on.
(im joking)

and if it kicks off you'l probably find the mouthy 'im ard' little fu**ers' jump behind you taunting fans pretending not to be scared push people to the front and use whoever they can as a shield

its all well and good acting the part, until it kicks off, the realism of it is the biggest learning curve many young wanna be football factory kids can have

No he's not. There's a serious message there. Ignore it at your peril.

Sound advice. A few seasons ago Stoke went to Bristol City. City expected them to bring a mob, which they dont have any more due to bans and lack of interest (away at least) and the Bristol were so wound up on the day they ended up terrorising and attacking families. So keep your wits about you lads

Good advise Gwyn, Bristol City are famous for picking off small groups 3/4's etc places to be careful

The walk from Temple meads to Ground, might be worth avoiding bedminster it's like Canton for us lots of Pubs lots of Local Lads. get in the escort might be safer.

And after the game the same that said they aint what they were but they will have a go !

Wise words.

If your going by train you will probably be wrapped up from start to finish
in a bubble anyway, but anyone going by car or in small groups use your heads and
remember this isnt Watford, the Wurzels will be all over Bedminster no doubt mobbed up.

Take care chaps and ladies :ayatollah:
