Very poor imo. people slaged miller off for not scoring but miller caused defenders trouble. helguson is never goin do that. he was poor tonite didnt win to m[code][/code]any hgeaders. too lazy

Yawn.. He was on his own up front and the midfield were very poor in the second half.

He needs a partner to play with because when he did win headers he would head them past the defenders but there was no one to run onto them. But he didn't really impress me much either but I think it would help if the midfield turned up.

Plus, I think Earnie could be the kind of player to work off Helguson. Big strong target man who won't do an aweful lot of running (mainly due to his age). So I think if we continue to play hoofball Earnie and Helguson could be a decent combination in the second half

To be honest the only one at fault tonight was Malky with his tatics. Mason should have started or come on earlier. His movement changed the game and would have caused them alot more problems

he's had a very good pre season and he got kicked the f**k out of tonight by Huddersfield... what he does is win headers, and he challenged for most of them and quite regularly won them!

He played well, shame our defense cant see the midfield for most of the game otherwise I could have seen him pressing forward with the ball and causing real problems.

Helgeson was not shit. All those long high balls who did they fall too??? Him! The guy can bloody jump!!!! Really impressed by him personally, plays like miller but better in the air. He planted the ball in space for out players loads today but no one took the chance.

Yes he was slow there was more than enough times when he could have played a ball to mcnaughton who was unmarked but he dithered with it. 20 minutes to go he finally caught on that he could pass to mcnaughton and it made a difference. And yes he did get caught a couple of times but I am willing to say he made some cracking
tackles

I don't blame him for dithering over giving it to McNaughton. McNaughton doesn't do an awful lot with it. And when was he caught out? I can't remember it.

The problem is that there was noone to get the ball from Mcnaughton. I agree his crossing is not the best but there was never anyone bar Mason when he came on who would collect a pass. As for getting caught out he was caught out with the ball over the top, both of them were.

Helguson is the best aerial threat we've had since Peter Thorne. He won so many balls but just didn't have anyone playing off him to win the ball. Again, when the opposition plays 10 men in their own half all game, what are we supposed to do?!

He is shorter than both of them and both defenders were thugs and he still came close to scoring three times and maybe even more, including the time when he hit the bar.
