" Malky/ Jay Bothroyd. "

Sun Aug 05, 2012 7:43 am

100% not coming to Cardiff, Malky has not one little bit of interest in him and never has.

Personally I said all along to me Jay is to lazy for Malky and Jay has the wrong attitude.

Shame as hes the best striker this club has had in the 22 years ive been following City.

Malky will never get a top job if he cannot deal with difficult characters.

:old: I posted several days ago that Malky was not interested in Jay and that it was all Papertalk...
So to the people who say I post nothing but lies I say "Haha....the truth will set you free!!!!!"

Hahahaha. Good player at league 1 level but not in the same league as Jay.

London newspapers have said we are in talks with Tommy Smith, that probably has more truth than the bothroyd stories. Shame though, I think jay could have done a job for us.

Wide of the mark just doesn't cut it...

Mate two of the best managers ever Cloughy and Fergies attitudes are pretty much my way or the highway...

Take Fergies stance on Tevez, was he right to let him go?

No he wasnt.

Mancinis just won the league keeping many an ego happy. Part and parcel of the modern management.

Thorne was an excellent striker, best target man I've seen in a City shirt. Best header of the ball we've had up front too. Thorne was a superb professional who ead the game well and was seriously under-rated.
However he didn't have the pace and skill and shooting skills of Bothroyd out of the 2 overall Bothroyd was the better striker.

Thing is I think Jay could have been even better if he had Thorne's mental attitude, if he was as mentally tough as Thorne was he would have been one of the countries top strikers. Instead he'll always be a hugely talented little boy.

Cardiff City , last year were successful based on Malky's decisions. We trust Malky, and if it's his decision not to enquire about JB, then thats what we support.

I've always backed the fact that Jay Bothroyd has a special talent and has been one of the best ever Cardiff Strikers, But he'll never be able to chanel his talent and attitude it in a way Bellamy does for example.

I trust Malky, his decisions have been key over the last year.

Of course its Malkays decision im just fed up with the notion malky would never work with egos

Gets on my tits. f**k me if we got to the PL is he going to resign because the place us over run by egos.

Bothroyd was the most skillful player i have ever seen in a ccfc shirt. However in terms of effort/desire he was one of the worst. I'd rather see Paul 100% Wheeler than Jay......

For me the jury is out on all this Malky dossier stuff.
We all know Jay is a prick but the guy is a game changer, can get hold of the ball turn and drift past defenders with ease. Certain games he will sulk but plenty of others he will be the difference.

I loved Thorney but he couldn't lace Jays boots, most complete centre forward I seen in a city shirt.

The Millers of this would will give their all but no substitute for natural ability

Would JB want to come back to us, i don't think so, jmo.

More likely to go & play fo DJ again, or another London Championship club.

Shame...........? Do you forget that he couldnt wait to get away from Cardiff City and the fact that he went awol and DJ had to ring him half way up the M4 and to get back as he was on his way to meet Fulham, he's a big head, lazy self obsessed prick. No doubt on the day he was a class act but them days had to suit Jay, f**k him.

How did he go awol  The thing is we let him go for free when we could of got a few million for him after he went along with others (out of contract worth millions) we was told it was down to wages and was cutting the wage bill to cut are cloth talk and i know for a fact jays agent went back to our club with a 14k offer after nobody wanted him to start with and the board said no im sure others know if this also, but we then signed kenny steak bake foot miller on what burke/jay was on together of what they supposed to have wanted. It just makes no sence when with these two last season i have no doubt we would have been rite up there not watching us slide down the table with draws/defeats mostly after january :ayatollah:

he refused a cortisone injection which in all fairness is his right. cortisone injections are known to cause arthritis in later years so i dont personally blame jay for that.
jones knew all week that there was a limited chance of jay playing yet produced no plan b

Interesting. So DJ basically gambled on JB having that injection[s] before the final, without giving it an extra thought?
