FFS kid, the pretence is ridiculous. Is it that embarrassing to be a supporter of Swansea City ? Man up.
The Jacks that offer educated argument never get shouted down, admit it and get on.
Joe Allen is a good neat player who suits your style extremely well, so far has never shined for Wales though. If you are struggling by Christmas and an offer for £8~10 million came in Huw would bite their fingers off.

But we have a board who make these decisions, not just Huw, and hears the crux, they are all massive Swansea City fans and will only do what's best for Swansea City

There are many things we could disagree on, but your chairman and your business model is exemplary. I am not going to delve into history.
Any player is only worth what someone else is willing to pay....15 million quid quotes fills a few column inches in the press.

When you take into account all of Allen's factors, such as 3 years left on his contract, 22 years old, Welsh international, Olympic team member, progression every year. It does make sense to put a pretty high price tag on him.
But £15m is more for players who are Champions League quality. And when you think Van Persie has been valued at £20m there is definitely something wrong having Allen close to him in terms of value.
So I would say he's worth around £7-9m. However like someone said, if they are struggling by Christmas then they will gladly reduce the asking price to cash in ready for the transfer window

Van Persie has 10 months left on his contract.
Liverpool clearly see him as a Champions League quality player as their aim is always top 4.
