You lot have short memories .............wasn't that long ago he was taking the piss out of a disabled child.......In my opinion Frankie Boyle is a first class wanker who gets his laughs and kicks out of mocking the afflicted.....comedians having a joke fair enough, but when you start going down the road of using disabled children for your kicks then sorry, for me he's a complete wanker for doing so.... :ayatollah:

I don't think he meant it. He's a comedian, he's going to say something shocking once in a blue moon. He didn't intentionally mean to upset the Kid and Katy or what ever her name is.

So what in your opinion is fair game for comedians?

To all the above posts.....................I've no beef with comedians having a banter or a joke, but when they start "joking" about a childs disability........don't you think.....hold on a minute.. a jokes a joke but you're taking the piss out off a 5 year old child who's disabled  ...and who can't really answer back  ........but everything is ok.. we can take the piss and laugh at a disabled 5 year old because some idiot of a comedian says so...............each to his own..

Slippery slope to censorship.

Although I don't agree with the subject matter, I would never suggest any joke is "wrong" per se. What is amusing for some is offensive to others, comedy is subjective; and that's what makes it great. The nonsensical idea of an 'offensive joke' doesn't wash with me, if one person laughs then it's a joke; tasteful or not.

So let me get this straight......if I mocked your child for being disabled and one person laughs at my joke.......you then think it's tasteful???? or would that be subjective

You've misunderstood what I've said.

I'm saying that if people find something funny then it is a joke; regardless of whether it is tasteful or not. Comedy is in its very essence subjective (ie open to different interpretations and reliant on the personality of the individual). You may have found that joke offensive, others will not have. I would hate to see any censorship of comedy simply because certain people feel a particular joke is offensive.

Anything and everything goes in comedy. The minute we make particular topics tabboo, it's time to pack up and go home.

A lot of comedy is deliberately developed around controversial subjects. The humour is derived from the fact that people know they shouldn't laugh but they still find themselves doing so.

Dont see why people act innocent about not laughing at cruel jokes.
Everyone on here have laughed at a joke about Black people, Michael Jackson, Jade Goody.

i think Frankie Boyle is hilarious, one of my favourites. i think comedians should be able to take this piss out of anyone anything as its just a joke, its for comedy, it doesn't mean they mean it. anyone offended easily has a simple option, don't listen, that 5 year old wouldn't need to defend herself to him, she's 5, she shouldn't be watching Frankie Boyle.
