he ran out of money jinks simple as that really and paul guy had been paying the wages for some 6 months prior to sams departure and they were never going to get the stadium approval with sam at the helm so he had to go if the club were to have any chance of getting the stadium progressed.

Jinks he still wanted to control the club although other people's money were keeping the club afloat.
If he did not leave there would have been no future for the stadium and we would have gone into administration. He still left with a pay off as did his brother ned.

He had built an academy system and improved the youth training, he also left Millions of pounds worth of assets on the pitch including the likes of Ramsey, Jerome, Kavanagh, Johnson, Earnie, Ledley, etc etc and got all the initial plans for the new stadium in place.
Dont think anyone could not thank him for that no matter what, even after all the issues he may have caused regarding the finances and debt etc etc.
I'm not a Sam Hammam fan, but he did bring the better days back to the fans.
So question is, WHERE did all that cash go? on the Assets he left behind? Could the club have uses all these Assets to pay him off years ago.... Riddler, Jones, PMG just as greedy as the first man if you ask me..... they have made quite a nice little earner whilst being involved with this club.

sam would have made that money for himself if he had been able to come up with a viable business plan and the funding to go with it.
i wasent having a go at sam but just answering the circumstances of his leaving.
i have always told you that if sam had used paul guy instead of capitol and regional to bring in clients for the retail park things would be very different now.
