Police should turn a blind eye to crimes that do no involve drugs. Back in my day we did all we could, going to the job centre and applying to become a regional manager for clinton cards because you know you ain't got a f*cking chance of getting the job does not count as looking.

Look. I'm a youth and we are not all bad people. With the exams, most of us are quite busy and the lack of jobs does not help. Please don't sterotype, it is not always the truth unlike these gangster scum who do not have an aim in life.

The youth of today expect everything on a plate for them. I was in full time work at 14 years of age. They would never last in my teen years, the sixties, or Bluebird since 1948's teen years, the fifties.

That's right, us paying taxes to support the teens who can't be bothered to get off their arse's to go to the job center, instead they play their playboxes or whatever they're called, smoke weed, and bring in dole money for doing f**k all.

Guys, stop sterotyping! You have never been a teen in the 21st Centuary so what makes you think that you know everything?

At 16 though, it does disgust me, you have people my age looking for part time work while being in full time education like myself, actually willing to work for money, then you got the dole bums doing f**k all expecting 60 quid a week from the government or however much it is.

We know what it's like being teens in the 21st century obviously, but I can see the golden oldies' point of the debate aswell. We are stereotyped.

True but they are putting their views in a sterotyping way.

I'm 22 on Saturday, I've worked since I was 17 with gaps of one month between jobs at the most, I've never touched a drug and in my spare time when I'm not working I am a freelance script developer.

Your steroretypical branding of youth is very far from the truth.

Not sure if you have children yourself Mr Davies, but point taken.

Not all youngsters are bad, but i will say, having had children myself, that today's generation are far more lazy,, & lack a general sense of urgency & motivation that what i can remember from growing up [in the 70's].

I have children and grandchildren and I f*cking hate the attitude on some of them. You are right, there is no get up and go and they always think the money and luck is going to come to them.

I could go on all day about what it was like back in my day but I won't bore you, I am not one to talk about the past. :old: :old:

Unfortunatly most jobs going currently are either in hot demand by the general youth populus or require some sort of experience. Most companies prefer to hire younger workers simply for the cheaper option however there is only a few jobs going or they expect hours to be worked which arent realistic for students.

Bluebird since 1948 is a joke account; what's your excuse?

"Today's generation are far more lazy". Nonsensical bile.

"lack a general sense of urgency and motivation". Boring tripe.

I swear any under 18s on here are castigated at any opportunity. its pathetic. Not counting 1948 seeing as he is blatantly a joke but others need to self evaluate. Total bitters.

Ive personally employed & worked with a lot of youngsters over the years, & i currently work in a service industry where im in contact with all sorts of different ages, including teenagers, from all different demographic backgrounds.

I speak from personal experience. Blame the parents? Blame the education system?? Blame the governments???
