MALKAYS TRANSFER POLICY

Wed Jun 20, 2012 9:03 am

Same old story, different transfer window. :x Its getting a bit tedious now, other clubs sign players without all the dosier bullshit, get on with it FFS and get some quality players in, the shit is going to hit the fan i feel if it doesnt happen, too many fans are upset without being fed this shit.

Re: MALKAYS TRANSFER POLICY

its mid june, i think theres been less than 5 championship transfers so far.

If we are in this position in a months time then fair cop.

I believe there will be some marquee signings this season to appease the re-brand.

i agree, 3 players for around 2 million would be much better than 1 for around 6 million. :ayatollah:

Plenty of frees around too , depends on if there is any wage cap now at City . What about the loan players we failed to land last season ??

the thing is,

we will only offer 1.9mil for the 2 mil players losing out to other competiton.. ;)

i honestly think we wont be offering amounts of 2mil + for any players.. i believe we will try and sign some released players and 2 or 3 players at around the 1 mil figure..

as long as the signings are going to improve the squad though i will be happy..

Im moaning about his statement he has made about the dosier etc, if he redeems himself in this window so be it, but weve lost out on a few already so how many more will it be.

Its a shame that dossier doesnt include how to close a f*cking deal.

Is that the bit when we ridiculously over pay the agent and player.

Re: MALKAYS TRANSFER POLICY

Wed Jun 20, 2012 11:27 am

I don't believe we've lost anyone!

The players we SHOWED INTEREST in, were never going to come here anyway! They already had sweetners to go where they went.

As Malky said about Rodriguez - he had to at least try with that type of player....

pre contract agreements can be done prior to July 1st, players are contracted to June 30th but a deal can be done before that date.

Re: MALKAYS TRANSFER POLICY

I agree with Merlin.
Every player we create a dossier for is Linked. Even though we may not even go for them.
The Malky KGB are running out of space and are knee high in dossiers!

As Nobby suggests - we need less talking and more doing.

Through all this rebrand shite and promises if we modify or image - my biggest disappointment in the last 5 seasons
-was the failure to bring in players last Jan.

I don't trust anyone in this club until I see it.
The pressure is now on

No its the bit where Malky sells himself and this club. Not send some prick he created a job for to try and do it for him.

Dossier wise Miller and Gestede come through with flying colours but he probably wouldnt touch Chopps and Bothroyd with a bargepole.

Thats how f*cking stupid this so callled dossier is.

We are a football club not a monestary.

Re: MALKAYS TRANSFER POLICY

I thought Malky's transfer policy was like VT's investment policy , so far non-existant

Re: MALKAYS TRANSFER POLICY

Wed Jun 20, 2012 1:55 pm

I like the policy, lets be honest we are still hurting from wages of players that werent good enough from the DJ era. Gypes had to be paid up in Jan, Parkin recently, we had to wait to lose Taylor and Quinn. We still have Keinan, Taiwo, Gerrard who we cant shift.

Funny you say that as I remember him saying in an interview last season that the only two that they didnt do dossiers on were Gestede and Miller.

They didnt have time for Miller as the deal had to be tied up quickly and he knew him anyway.

Gestede was signed on the recommendation of a scout, so they took a minimal gamble to see what he was like.

Signed on a recomendation? Who the f**k recomended him Stevie Wonder.

The fact hes been given another contract is more disgusting than the rebrand.

Worst "footballer" Ive seen in a City shirt and I endured the mid 90s

Not sure, but on a minimal wage and a free it was never going to "hurt" the club to look at him.
The contract extension is down to MM who clearly believes he can be an asset to the club.

What a pathetic thread! Another Cardiff City boo boy that isn't happy with anything! So you preferred a manager that DID go out and buy players on a whim yeah? Say....Robbie Fowler...Trevor Sinclair....STEPHEN BYWATER?? Even when you say about players like Chopra, Bothroyd etc... Did they get us up?

Malky's signings have been largely successful so how about you get off his back and allow him to do his job for christs sake! It's June 20th and the window isn't exactly firing on all cylinders is it?

Judge him on Augusts 31st, not now.

Jesus some of our fans single handily hold this football club back with their horrendous attitudes

Re: MALKAYS TRANSFER POLICY

Malky is punching above his weight.
Players like Fuller, McGugan are in our range.

Now is the time to make ambitious bids before the window actually opens.
Mcgugan is shit.
Fuller maybe.

If he doesn't try he won't get.

Because clubs who are selling these players take our bids serious? Their crying in laughter at them.

So what? Does that upset you?
The club trying to get a bargain and get a good price before the window opens?
I hope MM tries to use the money wisely and get players as cheaply as possible.

Re: MALKAYS TRANSFER POLICY

Wed Jun 20, 2012 10:19 pm

Id prefer players like that Dixon on a free. We can replace Taylor then. Also your saying Rodriguez 5 million is a bargain? So hes worth 8 million if it was in July?

Re: MALKAYS TRANSFER POLICY

Wed Jun 20, 2012 10:26 pm

I personally think that we were offering higher wages last year in an attempt to entice people to join us and to give the impression of ambition.

Otherwise we would never have got a good squad together as no one would go to a club with ten players and recent financial problems without sweeteners.

This season, and in January, I'd bet Malky's driving harder bargains when it comes to wages as he wants to stretch what he's got further.

Just my opinion. None of this is based on fact.
