OUR SCRAP WITH WEST HAM AT BOURENMOUTH

Sat Jun 16, 2012 9:56 am

Can anyone remember this, mad as f**k.

We were at Bournemouth for a mickey mouse cup game on a Tuesday 2003 or there about. We had a couple of Ram's bus's there and thank f**k as it happens.

Went to the allocated pub, great mix of Cardiff fans as always from full on soul crew to happy clappy family's, no problem all mixing no tension, f*cking hell this was Bournemouth on a Tuesday after all.

Some of our crowd in the bar, some in the lounge but most of us out the back in the beer garden.
Suddenly chaos, some of the boys had seen a few unknown dogy looking characters in the bar, turns out it's fifty West Ham who have come up (pay back for the fruit fight  ) no in truth one of the West ham blokes son was playing for Bournemouth so it was a good reason for them to watch and possibly settle some scores with us.

Anyway, they started the old bubble song, possibly feeling a bit safe and then brave because in truth there were more of our family type in the bar as opposed to "lads".Madness ensued, all the boys from the lounge tried to get in there all the lads from the beer garden were trying to get in and it was like a bottle neck. Other than those in the bar, none of us knew a thing about this West Ham scenario and we simply thought it was a few lippy Bournemouth fans.

I ran around the outside of the pub to get to the front door and it was chaos, one of our boys was in a right mess and had been smashed in the face full on with a house brick (he had to be taken to the UHW later) it was going off all over the pavement and road outside the pub and more West Ham fans were coming out of the front door after being suprised how many lads were actually prepared to get stuck into them in the bar.
Trouble was as they were coming out there was only a handful of us out front, most were inside or out the back trying to get in that way.

Wont try and glorify the fight, but they had come looking for it and they got a bit more than they bargained for and there was a bit of pay back after the house brick incident.

One vision that will saty with me is one of the cocky sods who had been dishing it out had got on his toes when it got heavy, i'll admit I would like to have spoken strongly to him (just for since 62's benefit. ) but he seen me standing in front and managed to side step me as he run past (told you I was no rugby player) he shouted out some abuse at me, sounded like CAT PUNT ;) and run straight into a lad walking up the road who looked like he was minding his own business and nothing to do with this incident , I didn't recognise this bloke but now know him to be Annis's mate who is a Bristol City fan from down the West Country.

Well fair play to this Bristol lad, as the cockney was running past him, cool as f**k he just stuck his arm out and clothes lined him, this bloke nearly did a backward somersault and fell falt on his back, you could hear his head bounce off the floor, fair play to the Bristol lad, he didn't even change stride, he just carried on walking as if nothing had happened.

Mad night, but something to talk about on the way home at least.

No wonder your fans have such a bad name. A self confessed fans leader who quite often represents his club in the welsh media giving the big one about fighting at the football.

No wonder you are hated by your fellow fans :wanker.

Of course you speak for yourself!!!! The Welsh media just phone you up as a random fan of Cardiff City, nothing to do with your links to the supporters club you used to run or your links with Sam Hammam. You really are a deluded mug (as you so rightly put it a few years back) get over yourself you complete numpty. Your club is in a dire mess your fans hate you and all you can try to do to score points with some of the other twats on here is talk about a row you had years ago.

Ok Gypo lets get some facts straight!

Try to understand, City were playing Bournemouth, city were well behaved and then some 40 odd fruit chuckers barged in and new exactly what they were doing - looking for a ruck.

An hour earlier they had pulled a garden wall down 200 yards from the pub so as they retreated they could use bricks as weapons.

They got what they were looking for and eventually much more.

Our driver even blocked their coach in so we could see them for a pint after the match ;) If memory serves me well, the police were looking for our driver and pleading with him to move his coach so they could get the fruit chuckers off home before we could have apint with them ;)

It happened, get over it. It's just another story of city fans enjoying themselves until being picked on - and unless I'm mistaken - self defense is not breaking the law - well not at the start anyway :old:

No irony. It's not for you to decide anything or make judgements as your not welcome and your opinion doesnt matter. You're just point scoring and it's tedious

This is more like it Gwyn, see at times you can talk sense

Gwyn Davies, co-founder of supporters’ club Valley Rams, and now involved in former City player Scott Young’s soccer school, is supportive of the rivalry between the two teams.

He said: “It’s what rivalry is all about, it keeps the fans going. Of course I don’t hate Swansea – but it’s important for Cardiff fans that they don’t win.

“Any true dyed-in-the- wool football fan will always put club before country.

“If they get to the Premier League I will be so jealous. They’ll have bragging rights over us forever.

“I won’t be able to switch on the TV or open a paper without hearing that Swansea are playing Manchester United. It’ll never go away.”

Gwyn said he was going on holiday to Ashbourne in the Peak District on Monday.

Best to just ignor ethe guy.

Like most of the Jacks who post on here, he's a knob.

There are some decent ones post on CCMB, but this board seems to attract the attention seekers (like this guy) and bullshitters from the Swansea support.

I can't see why anyone would be so obsessed to spend their time on the board of another club just spouting bollox all the time and getting into petty squabbles over things that in the main are none of their business.
