The Malaysians and Club board sit back a few weeks to guage what the fans will say, do & protest against.
After overlooking the last few weeks, - media coverage, message boards, direct contact - They will now have a much better understanding on what they think the fans will settle for and be dead against.
They can now see that a compromise can be made to a certain degree.
They will use all this gathered feedback from the fans to SLOWLY introduce and implement each idea. Eventually a lot of what we have heard will probably take place - Even a home shirt colour change if we get to the premiership IMO.
Tan who is very much now a back seat person regarding his businesses, however still advises his son who now has control over his Berjaya Empire, has acquired a lot of cash as we know through recent share receivership, he also provides a hell of a lot of money to malaysian charities. Has recently sold his McDonalds franchise in Malaysia, and also is still chief principle from 3rd party off-set businesses of his Berjaya group.
All of the above - including any upcoming gambling licences that he wishes to acquire will need some hefty advertising in the Western world, to maintain a solid footing for everything he has worked all his life for to build.
No better way than getting into football advertising and TV rights, and nowhere better than the premier league.
I still expect big changes over the next year or two, IF they are committed to staying in control of OUR club.
Some may disagree, but that is my opinion.

I think this info is 100% in the public domain tbh Luke, as Vince Alm admitted on this mb he'd been approached with the info and asked for his views!
He said that he'd trusted somebody(s) with the info and that the info got leaked by somebody he trusted!
If Merlin and other posters who have posted this similar theory are to be correct, you'd have to think that the club thought that Vince would automatically leak the info, which I personally don't believe, as I'd trust Vince 100% myself!

I know vince questioned himself about mentioning it to other committee members.
If it was someone off his committee then fair enough.
I just think it was planned and recently thought by the club.

I agree the club knew full well this would be leaked.
They expected a reaction maybe not as strong as they got but they knew there would be one.
Anyone who thinks that the leak was a bolt from the blue is very much mistaken. I honestly think this is a chess game and at the moment the Malaysians are winning.
Certain people on here have played the scaremonger card that the Malaysians will leave and the club will go bust etc etc and that is exactly what they wanted. Now they have the ammunition to put the fans in a position where they will agree to anything.
I am eagerly awaiting some official information from the club which as yet has not been forthcoming , why is that? Becasue the longer the infighting between the fans continues the stronger the Malaysians position with regard to rebranding becomes.

i have not and wouldn't slag off our owners because with out them we would be in the shit
however, i do think there are many more things for us to worry about behind the sceens that we should be more worried about a change of colour
something which has bothered me is IF there is 100 mil in the pot for the future why wasn't a small part of that made available in the last trasfer window when we needed a boost for promotion

My frustration is being treated like a fool by the club and being left in the dark. Its not that we need to know everything but we have to know whats going on when something like this comes up.
We pays the money on the gates and fills the stadium - not a good advert on TV if you are watching games played in a half empty one.
I understand the globalised nature of football (by reaching the premier league) but you need to get there first and all I here is links to players and 'bids' but keep landing mostly free signings.
If this re-branding can ever work - it's two way compromise, we's need to see some quality brought in to trust and have faith - otherwise, whats the point of re-branding if you are in the championship???

As mentioned above nothing will happen until Langston is sorted. So really at this moment the only thing the club could say is that situation is still under review.

In principle I totally agree as would 100% of Cardiff City fans.
Unfortunatley Langston deal is a multi-million pound negotiation and both sides know they must respect the other by not taking about it through public announcements or informing the media.
We will just have to be patient.

TBH Tony, this info has been posted on this mb by Annis on a number of occasions, as he said that Sam has agreed to accept £10 million, but is being asked to accept the sum in drip feeds!

Yes I read that too...but it doesn't make sense to me. VT has said that he wants to turn the debt into equity so in order to do that surely Langston has to be paid off in a lump.
