The u turning is ridiculous

Thu May 10, 2012 10:29 pm

We were brash and overreacted initially yes... but the extent some of you are going to to please the owners is absurd. They will probably exploit us to an even larger extent should they see people acting like they've described on here. Be firm but fair.

Stick with your views, or if you do change be reasonable. Reasonable is the key word in this whole fiasco

its not a u turn its just the minority kicked off and the ones who could see the bigger picture just sat back as when any of us put a positive comment we were "Plastics"
so we didnt really have a say

you got to look at the bigger picture. do you want a club to support for years to come called cardiff city? or are you not really bothered

Re: The u turning is ridiculous

No I do, and I like their ideas, and I'd accept a red away kit, red slash on the home kit or a Malaysian symbol in place of the daffodil on the City badge, but their original ideas- too far.

Re: The u turning is ridiculous

Im not u turning either
I did not like the full change, but i posted why those changes were wanted by TG, and that compromise was needed. I understand as a business man, why he wanted what he did, and why for some fans the complete package was too much.
Compromise and negotiation was needed not hot heads making derogatary remarks.
I expect TG expected a compromise but not the disrespect and hatred he received from some.
For 100m i would expect to have some say too

Vince Alm said it best when he said the best tact would be accept the red then campaign to bring the blue back. It was done with the badge and at least our immediate future is secure.

Too many think they were the warriors on the front line.

It got out of hand - a lot of us were hurt.
It was like a runnaway train.

No U turn here though - all I wanted was openness and respect.
Felt physically sick when I read that 'open' letter.

My feelings are still the same - I am a Bluebird who wants a team to support.
If that means agreeing to some things I don't like then, as long as a reasonable argument is put forward for it, I will have to accept.

We are still allowed our opinions though.
Aint no money stopping that.

I accepted the proposal as it made good commercial and business sense.

I have been abused, called plastic. Been told to go and f*cking support Man Utd because I'm a glory supporter!!!
I am a supporter of CCFC for 30+ years and in th space of 4 days I have witnessed the murder of our club, by it's own children.

Only a f*cking miracle will save us now.

Yes, stick with your views and when you are watching the City play in blue along with two thousand other fans in the Welsh League, think of the pride you'll feel that you stood firm.

I don't think people are u turning at all a lot of fans I have spoke to didn't mind the change but didn't kick up a fuss cos they thought it would just happen anyway and I for one are shocked the club have said we can still wear blue!!!
I am shocked by some Cardiff fans, vt has done so much for the club, I support Cardiff not the colour of the shirt

Uhhh what? I wasn't mouthing off ( excuse the pikey terminology ), trying to drag the club down ( lol at the people wanting be in no league for the LAD BANTER ) and am, and always was prepared to compromise, just the initial ideas were too far, too ambitious.

Your post sums up the u turning and how people are sucking off the Malaysians now. I don't hate them, they just should have approached this is a more ethical way.

How do you know what the full idea was???? They weren't even given a chance to explain we only know what was leaked.

The leak was blatantly accurate on their original plans, the way the club are dealing with him/her and the meeting hastily arranged , VT flying in and the way Annis/Carlito described it, we will have the pleasure of Vincent's vincent on sunday and I guarantee should he reveal his plans, it'll all tie in.

no doubt

my original issue was the amount of hypocrisy on here. from death threats to the Malaysians and how our club was dead, to now this awful sycophantic environment, its sickening how fickle some can be.

Stop grovelling.

Re: The u turning is ridiculous

This whole fiasco is starting to really p.iss me off now, people changing camps when put under a little bit of pressure. I for one am proud that I was against the idea and am still 100% against it, I support Cardiff City (the Bluebirds) and no amount of money will make me change that view. These changes are not needed and changing colour and re branding WILL NOT bring in 100 million pounds. Forget being attractive to Asia, we have plenty of fans we can tap into who will actually be able to go to the games and not watch them on some dodgy internet connection.

Money has killed football, never thought it would rip the hear and soul out of the club I love though.

People make u-turns in lots of areas of life.

I also ask you this, what gives you the right to tell people to stop grovelling?
Is it not their right if they wish?
Just a question. ;)

But why should fans do what you want them to do? :?:

Surely it is up to them?
Is it against the law?

would have been no need for the grovelling if people hadnt gone so mental in the first place.

I guess a lot of fans are worried about the club in Tan pulls out.

The extent people have been u turning is bad, but whats worse is the way they're acting like they were always for the changes. Its mind boggling and they're being hypcrites

Nothing, but people should neither grovel, overreact, whatever its too dramatic, the shocking drama queens on here lately have been unreal and the laughable emotional outbursts have been beyond belief. They have the right, but they shouldn't be so pathetic. Use their intelligence if you like.

I want them to negotiate like adults, not be pathetic about this whole debacle.

They should use their judgement, but going by the laughable initial reaction City fans lack judgement

People will always over-react/grovel/be dramatic and also be drama queens.
